Re: The 777 retirement and scrapping thread - 2018

Does anyone know if there are plans for those stored Etihad 77Ls? I do not know, but so far they don’t appear to have any prospective suitors and therefore seem to be destined for long term storage. Furthermore, all current 77L operators seem to be investing in newer, more modern aircraft. Also, ai...

Re: The 777 retirement and scrapping thread - 2018

According to Planespotters.net Alitalia 777-200ER EI-ISD has been parked and stored. Flightradar24 indicates it last flight was AZ 673 on 11FEB18. Is this temporary short term storage pending Alitalia's fate, or has the aircraft been permanently WFU? Planspotters.net Alitalia fleet Flightrdar24 EI-I...

First 77L stored at Teruel/Spain. Looks like its not a temporary measure then.

Re: Etihad to retire the 77L

A factor that has yet to be suggested is that the 77Ls can be used as substitutes for 773s. There are five Etihad 2006 build 773ERs that will require heavy maintenance this year. The 77Ls, 77Fs and 773s share a number of design elements; wingspan, landing gear, engines...etc. The 77Ls may be under-...

I still can't find a source, other than Routes Online (which only states the 77L fleet is not scheduled beyond 24MAR18--here), that even suggests the EY 77L fleet is being sold off. Has anyone else found anything?

Perhaps we've jumped to conclusions?

Your crop and re-frame are much better. I'm having a hard time telling what the sharpest object in the frame is. It appears to be the wing. You might try adjusting this without over sharpening the background, by using a duplicate layer.
