Dubya In Tampa - AF1 At TPA Or MacDill
When Bush comes to Tampa on Friday, do you think he would land at TPA, which is closer to Downtown or would Air Force One go to MacDill, where it would be more secure and cause less disruption of air traffic?

It could be either. Sometimes McDill AFB is better, sometimes it is TPA.

I would think also for security reasons MacDill would be the choice.

I would think due to security reasons, MacDill would be the choice for Air Force One in this case. I didn't see any military movements today at TPA preparing for it though.

Don't know about Tampa, but I think he did land at MIA, shut the airport down he did, delayed my flight too, crew circling around somewhwre waiting to land. Only problem I had with all this is that I was stuck in the terminal and could not get a shot of the a/c, bummer that one, did get a good look at a C-17 parked out on one of the stands, assume it was a support bird for his stop.

This is a bit old, but he flew into PIE. I was stuck behind the roadblock until he landed. Pretty cool to see AF1 come in. The fundraiser he had was in Pinellas Park.
