Fighters Capable Of AutoTakeoff?

Any Auto T/O fighters?
Does it exist?
If Autoland exists why not Auto T/O?

Theoretically a fighter should be able to do what UAV's were able of 10 yrs ago, including taking off. The operational benefits are not entirely clear though.

Routine F-18 carrier takeoffs are automatic.

The question surfaces will aircraft like the F35 become UAV optionally during the next 30 yrs? From a systems standpoint I do not see objections. Include the pilot when required but leave him home for missions that do not require him/her, or are to risky.. If a battle area is well covered from an information/ sensor / data link standpoint..

Yep, pilots MUST hold their stick hand up to show that it's not on the stick before they can launch. They aren't controlling the aircraft until after it's left the deck. This is for blue-water carrier ops only, they take off like any other plane from a land base.
