Canada To Allow KC-46 Into Tanker Competition

Thu Apr 01, 2021 6:56 pm

Canada has decided to use its executive discretion to mark a new spirit of cooperation and open its tanker competition to the KC-46 Pegasus. The KC-46A Pegasus is a widebody, multirole tanker that can refuel all U.S., allied and coalition military aircraft compatible with international aerial refueling procedures. Boeing designed the KC-46 to carry passengers, cargo and patients. The aircraft can detect, avoid, defeat and survive threats enabling it to operate safely in medium-threat environments. This spirit of cooperation is only possible on this unique day.

Are they ordering the version with 9G and AMRAAM capability? Perhaps even a gun pod?

After a closer look, I feel like the 'spirit of cooperation' is the most surprising aspect of it all. Who would've thought that this is still possible in this day and age.

Does "spirit of cooperation" mean they forgive Boeing? I might be less forgiving. (And I know that would cost $$$$.)

Knowing Canada:
- Are insisting on final assembly in Canada
- Are also considering taking KC-10 from desert

Eww. Brown water that looks and practically tastes like what comes out of the sewer, and food that is not even edible at all.
