We are all seeing increased interest in Space missions, and I think it is evident many are jumping into the space industry in some way shape or form. Rockets are still being launched (frequently) in the US. I'm just curious to ask what is the state or progress of non-Government spaceports in any of the US territories? What kind of missions are launched from Alaska, and are there not some mission penalties for high latitude stations (but hey, who's complaining) such as Alaska and Wallops?
Any southern latitude spaceports worth mentioning? I know Mojave is a cluster of space orgs, and test launches have happened from there. So searching for some review of the 2020s scope for America's spaceports?
ALSO: how many years do you think it would take to get such a facility off the ground again if some of these fail due to inadequate business planning?
Or should we all just rent launch pad time at KSC ?
