Does anyone know if the Hong Kong Government purchased brand new Jetstream 41's & S-76 helicopters?

Sat Dec 04, 2021 9:00 am

I have 2 questions:
1. Were the Jetstream 41's not taken up by the original airline customer & purchased by the Government Flying Service?
2. On Helis.com. why is B-HZD listed as second hand & with a previous registration number called N76004 or is this the test number by the manufacturer Sikorsky?

helis.com/database/cn/11509/

I would be grateful of your help, Thanks

The Jetstreams were supplied via the UK Overseas Development Agency and Crown Estate which had control of the marine environment and 12 mile limit prior to hand back.

Essentially the British Tax payers paid for them

N76004 is a Sikorsky "dealer plate"; not assigned to an aircraft.

I don’t see an S-76 today.

I imagine the Airbus/any S-76 will be replaced with the “Chinese Blackhawks” in the future (Z-20’s). Or Z-8, or Z-9’s. I am not sure why they are simply procuring more H-175’s for the time being, or how (many) will be allocated to the HK side.

Because the H-175 is also licensed produced in China as the Avicopter AC352
