RE: Where'd You Get Your Username?

I came up with my user name based on the magnificient view I have in the mirror as I step out of the shower (and I'm not gay - not that there's anything wrong with that!).

Seriously, I was always a fan of the Super DC-8, especially the huge windows.

It was hard thinking of a username. The most commonly used standard terminal arrival route for San Francisco is the Modesto 2 Arrival! Easy enough, right?

As everyone seemed to be using aircraft names at the time I joined the forum, I thought I would go for something really unusual and chose Starship from the Beech Starship 2000 executive twin turboprop.

Well, my original username was Anti_Egyptair. But I received a putdown about my username. I had to have it "confiscated" in order to get a different one. I am interrested in the religion, Islam, so then, I wanted one having to do with the prophet, Ibrahim. But, the name, Ibrahim was taken, so I made it Ibrahim 2.

Because CP DC10-30's were the aircraft that I have flow the most often. I have had fond memories of them from a very young age as our family travelled very often.

SQ= Singapore airlines
A340= Airbus A340 (-500)

I was going to put down Singapore777 but that name was already put so I decided to use the A340 cause they are somewhat alike.

Aside from UA, Singapore is also my favorite airline. They have a nice fleet, GREAT seats and they are part of star alliance.

TWA 902 fly... pretty much explains it.

TWA flight 902 was my only 747 fllight so far.
It was on July 18th, 1997 (exactly one year after the TWA 800 crash) The flight was JFK-BCN and departed around 12 midnight. This aircraft was the only 747 going to BCN this summer of TWA, and they cose July 18th to use it and combine it with the CDG flight on that same day. I flew ORD-JFK, JFK-BCN on TWA. The flight back was 918 on a 767-200ER, also one of my favourite aircraft.

I used to travel to Asia on business. The comapny I used flew Northwest. I spent so much time on 747-400's! 51 is, as you all know Northwest's customer number.

CstarU, sorry, I meant to put md-80, Delta does not have md-80's, they have 88s and md-90s, so I was thinking Delta, and I put md-90. I like em both, the body design is basically the same and thats what I like about them.

mls = Michael Lee Stephenson, my Christian name
515 = My telephone area code (in DSM)

I came up with this internet handle a long long time ago while trying to pick a free e-mail address and it has stuck with me for numerous things ever since.

If you end up getting the rotorcraft, you could rename yourself ChopperCopper1 or just Chopper1.

Sasha is a shorthand for my real name Alexander (at least that's what we have in Russia, I know in other countries Sasha is normally a stand-alone name, usually a girl's).

My surname starts with A, so I capitalize the last letter and get: SashA.

I guess I'll reply also. I was originally TWAneedsHELP, because I thought the airline.......needed help.

After being convinced that TW was in the process of rehabilitation (new hubs, a/c, etc) I became a big fan and now I'm TWAneedsNOhelp.

Hello Everyone,

Northwest flight 52 is the very first flight I ever took to Europe, DTW-FRA.

I am still flying with Northwest, and the last time around I got a free round trip ticket.

Because I live in two cities earning over 100,000 miles a year on my favourite airline.....United.

By the way, while I'm flying coast to coast I always identify with that map of the United States. It has LA and San Francisco on one coast and New York and Washington on the other. Is there any life down there between the coasts?

The New Jersey Turnpike...because of the fog that day, it was the only thing I could recognise when landing at EWR for the first time.

And it's my fave road; it forms the first leg of any visit back to the UK (we live near exit 2, EWR is right off exit 13A)

Hi!
I got mine because Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) or PK on the air band radio has not long begun a twice weekly service from Islamabad to Birmingham, UK.
It is operated on a Boeing 747-300 most of the time which is leased from Cathay Pacific so as you may have guessed HENCED PK743

(I am english and I only like the plane!)
Tar,
Marc.

lax2000 is the city which I live and grew up, along with one of my favorite airports. I took the 2000 from a NYC graffitti artist named Futura2000. I always liked his tag and I used to be a graffitti artist myself back in the eighties. So even in 2001 I'll be lax2000.
