1997 Ford Expedition or 1998 Infiniti Q45 (upper-middle class baby!). I don't know what I will get when I learn to drive.

DeltaRNOMd-80: How much mpg does the Escalade get? I heard the Navigator gets somewhere around 12.

Upper-middle class...Where do you live? Let me guess, either La Jolla or Scripps Ranch.

If not, give me clue...

La Jolla, but VERY close to PB. We really don't have that big of a house, though. Just a pool and a canyon and a view of the ocean....

Actually, Rancho Santa Fe is the probably the most elitest place to live in S.D. now--It has the highest percentage of houses costing over a million dollars than anywhere else in America (yes, it is pretty big). La Jolla loses out because of a few houses in the "Downtown" region that cost only in the 600-700k range(!).

Why ever did you give up your Rancho villa??? I am sure a comet cannot be all that better. I mean, the most you could ever make of it would be an ice palace, and as far as living conditions go, your'e not in a nice area of town.

My mom drives a white Cadillac Seville STS and my dad drives a black 2001 Cadillac Escalade. I am supposed to get a brand new yellow jeep for my 16th.

I personally drive a 2000 VW Passat, or if I'm around and getting a ride with my parents, I ride in my mom's Mercedes C280 or my dad's Dodge Ram 1500.

Well I sold my Oldsmobile 1985 Cutlass Supreme for $300 so my only car now is my 1985 Honda CRX that still gets 30 miles per gallon even when going 80 mph on the highway. I'm kinda sad now that the Cutlass is gone since I felt fearless in that car. It was a lot of fun. I used it to ram a friend of mine off a snowbank he was high centered on in his truck. Screwed up the front but oh well. Many trash cans and recycling bins fell victim to it! But now I'm stuck with this little white turd that is my car. I hit a curb the other day and my car flew back like a pinball. It's so fragile. I will definately die if I get in a serious collision in this car.

p.s. Sounds like there's a few here that need to make sure mommy and daddy get them a gasoline card in addition to their sweet 16 present.

I feel lucky to have a car... my tried and true 1987 Toyota Camry LE. I remember when we bought it, we picked it up and took my brother to camp. I took my drivers test in that car. It nearly overheated on me south of Casa Grande on I-10. But otherwise it has been good to me, my parents pay the insurance and major repair bills when it is needed. Love the car to death, fun to drive, it is pretty spunky for a four-banger... chicks seem to dig it. And as my roomate so bluntly put it, it fits my personality... which I am not sure how to take, seeing as a dark red Camry is kinda boring and conformist. Plus it has outlasted pretty much every other car we have bought since it.

I am fortunate to live next to a Microsoft millionaire with FIVE Ferraris. He has a 99 355FI GTS, a 94 348 Spider, a 91 Testarossa, an 89 328GTS, and an F-40. I have been able to drive all but the F-40. What an absolute pleasure. I could live in one of those cars. Nothing else compares to the sound or the power. In the 355GTS, we get 400+ horsepower from 3.5 liters of normally-asperated displacement. A 3.5 liter, 40 valve V-8. According to my calculations, that's just about 114 horsepower per liter!!!

1993 VW Corrado SLC & 1996 Toyota v6 truck... But hey, as my license plate says "I'd rather be flying"... Corrado is pretty much just for going out, while the toyota truck takes me to the airport where the airline lends me one of their real nice A320 !!!! Talk about accelaration in that Baby!!!! And best of all, I paid for both cars with money I made!!! No silver spoon in my mouth... So take care in those big rides kids and remember, if something happens, Sugardaddy will buy you a new one!!!! I'll take on any of you in my A320...

Jetpilot, what kinda stuff does your 323ci have in it? My stepbrother made an attempt to get one about 6 months ago but the dealer wouldnt drop the price one dime below MSRP which was about 36,000USD. He was going to special order one with the navigation system, the sportronic transmission, the leather and the sport package. He ended up not getting it cause the guys at BMW wouldnt drop the price at all. Now he is waiting for that new mercedes coming out that is supposed to be a competitor of the 323/328, He looked at the C class mercedes but he thinks they are way too ugly. The 323ci is sooooo much better than my Honda. On a worse note, my car is leaking oil really bad, I have to put about a quart in every 2 weeks, I opened my hood and where the engine goes to the transmission the oil was all over the place and my engine is brown/black with oil and dirt now. I guess I shoulda changed the oil 17,000 miles ago. oops.

You bet. It's great. I'm not spoiled like some in this forum. I bought my car with money I earned myself. Take that, brats!

I only recently got my Driving Licence. Compared to some of you who are sad you won't be getting the better versions of Mercedes or Audi's, and say you only have Canyon and Ocean view. They only canyon I see in Boston is the one between the buildings on Commercial and Lewis Wharfs. I do have a harbour and airport view, though, so I can't complain much. Anyways, I delayed getting my driving licence because I live in the city, but now that I have it, do I drive in my own Passat (my favourite car, BTW)? No! I drive a 1999 white/grey Volvo V70 X-Country Estate. It's my mother's. Or I drive my dad's 1990 Iceland Green BMW 735i. We may trade this in favour of a car made in this milennium.

Hey LH423...

I'm similiar to you...V70 (T something or another) and a 525i. The Bimmer is better even if its older. You agree? The Volvo and I don't get a long well, hehehe.
