Anyone Play An Instrument?

I play durm set for the marchig band at my school.

We only have 28 people and i'm the only drummer!

In the Cadet Marching Band...

I play...

Bb (B Flat) Clarinet, sometimes Glockenspiel, flute, piccolo and sometimes Bass Clarinet...

In Concert Band...

I play...

Bb Clarinet, Rehearsal Piano, Bass Guitar, piccolo, Bass Keyboard...

I currently take lessons for piano and bass guitar...Right now I own a piccolo, a flute, a bass guitar (no amp though, cuz I don't want to carry it around), clarinet (that's the only thing I have all the levels mastered in the Music Conservatory), bass clarinet and a piano! I will be taking Tenor Sax soon too!! BTW there's 32 of us in the concert band altogether!!!

I played a clarinet last year in music class and it didn't go too badly, I just could not keep properly at all.

Until I graduated high school, I played the trombone. I started in 5th grade, and continued through 12th. Our marching band, the Emerald Brigade, had over 400 members, including color guard and percussion.

I played a trumpet in the school band. I was first chair untill I quit. It became to Corny for me.

Although, I do still play the piano as a hobby. I am not great, but I am getting there.

I play Eb alto saxaphone in maching, concert, and pep band. I enjoy playing the instrument very much and have been playing since 6th grade. I took piano lessons for about 5 years, and still play in my free time. I'm trying to learn to play the flute now.

I play the trumpet (well I haven't played in a long time...). I had a choice...I could have played the cello....the orchestra teacher wanted me...the band teacher wanted me...I had done well with both...pity, I chose the trumpet.....

I had wanted to learn piano as a young kid..my parents said "no"...later on, when I was some years older, they asked me if I wanted to learn then, but by that time I had lost interest...they said they regret not letting me do it when I had asked the first time...well, I'll learn it one of these days.....maybe it would have helped me do better in math and science!

I play guitar and bass. Ive been doing alot of acoustic recording/writing recently , althought hardcore is my background. Ill have a cd out in 3 weeks in the tallahassee area. Hopefully ill be able to find some peoplei can jam with doing some more hardcore/metal stuff soon...i love seeing the kids go nuts.

Piano, tenor saxophone, and clarinet. I am in a jazz band of guys that go to my school. We've gotten to be pretty popular around Berkeley and really the whole Bay Area for Cal alums (mostly) that want entertainment for functions.

And without being arrogant I think we're pretty damn good.

I used to play the drums, but I gave them up when I moved to the city, and no longer had a quiet, insulated place to play. Something tells me my neighbours wouldn't be too happy if I started to "bang on the drum all day".

Well now i can play the djembe...its an hour glass shaped hand drum that has a nice thump to it and a real loud crack/pop when you hit the rim. I finally got one today-althought ive been using them for a while in addition to beating on the back of my guitar for percussion..this thing is great for accompanying acoustic guitars.

I played Piano from when I was about 7 till I was 10, Then I started playing trumpet when I was 11 till I was about 14, I was the best trumpet player (there was only 5 of us) except I was 3rd chair cause the band teacher hated me with a passion. Well now I have a trumpet that has been sitting in my closet for the last 2 years, and I dont know what to do with it.

I've played the piano since I was six, but I quit around 7th grade.
Tenor sax - 6th to 9th grade
Clarinet - 10th to now (high school senior)
I played a friend's alto sax in our school's jazz band for a semester
I'm learning the trumpet in applied band. I can hit the high notes, but my control is lacking. Our marching band has 200 members, the symphonic band around 135, and the jazz band about 30. We are AWESOME!

Voice (yes it is an instrument which needs proper maintenance and care)
Flute (transverse)

Secondaries:
Baroque Recorder (Flute)
Trombone
Handbells

Uh, yeah, I was a music major in college. In fact for the first two years I was a music education major, so I "officially" know how to play every instrument in a concert band or orchestra.

I wish I could add violin/viola/cello to that but I have never performed on it, and that's my standard for what I "play." As a professional I have to raise my personal standard a little...

I play the flute (5 years). I do play the recorder from time to time (a flute-like instrument) and the piano.

I'm not really sure why more boys don't play the flute. The greatest flutests of all time are all men (Galway, Rampal, Baker). I went to a flute camp over the summer with 44 girls and 6 guys. Actually, that was pretty fun

Violin, Cello, Guitar, Bells, Flute, Mandolin, Drums (12 weeks only for the band @ school in 7th grade), & Piano... I can't sing worth a crap, so i stick to other forms of making music.. well no.. i better just stick to listening to other people's music.....
