To put in a pic of your own, you have to type in a HTML tag. Example:
[img src="http://www.xyz.com/yourimage.gif"]
Replace the brackets ( [ ] ) with "carrots" ( < > ).

Dazed... If the picture icon is coming up, then there should be nothing wrong with the HTML tag. Where the problem lies is in one of two places:
The SRC part of the tag or..
the server on which the image resides. The server could be down, thus making your post useless. Try posting the URL for the picture... it might work a little better.

I am the guy on the left side wearing the white shirt with my arms crossed. Notice how all the ladies are gathered around me..... hehehehe. Hank, do you still have that picture group i sent you on email? Ive got it in my sent mailbox but dont know how to get a link to it or post it b/c its a secure site. Anyhoo..if i figure out how to do that its got pix of me playing the guitar and flying.

I only have one scanned picture of me right now, and it's my senior picture from high school. I'm now a junior in college, so I look a little different, but this is the best I have at the time. I'll try to find a more recent one to scan and post.

Go and sign up for some free webspace at Geocities http://www.geocities.com and upload the photo there and link it back to here.

This is the code you have to use

(img src="http://www.YOURURL.com/filename")

and replace the ( and ) with < and >

Also don't use .bmp format only .jpg and make sure it isn't as large as some of the photos here. It really amazes me that some people know how to do HTML yet they don't know how to reduce the size of an image file.

JPEG (.jpg) is one of the two standard image formats on the Internet. The other is GIF, but as it supports only 256 colors it is unsuitable for large photos (the small preview images on airliners.net are actually GIFs, the full size images are JPEGs). PNG is becoming more common, especially in the wake of patent/royalty issues with Unisys.

BMP is a Microsoft Windows-proprietary format. Image file sizes for BMP images are too large for the Internet. For example, a 116k airplane photo in JPEG format becomes a 1.6MB BMP file.

JPEG image quality declines due to its compression algorithm, but one of the advantages of JPEG is that the compression amount is variable. Differerent programs use different scales, but generally there are a range of options from "high quality/low compression" to "low quality/high compression". If you find your image quality is bad after saving as a JPEG, try again with a higher quality setting. Note that JPEG quality declines each time an image is saved, so keeping a master copy of the image in a format such as TIFF or BMP on your hard drive is recommended at least until you are satisfied with the final JPEG.

Granite, good picture. It is well taken, with the focus in the foreground and fuzzy in the back, but not too fuzzy as you can still see the airline liveries. I like it!
