Iran And Russia. Getting Too Cosy

Tue Mar 20, 2001 6:13 pm

My fellow Americans,

After reading the report below I am led to believe that my time in the White House was all in vain. Or is it just that those damn Democrats have kissed too many butts, instead of kicking them?

It is high time that G Dubya pushes ahead with the NMD, before those Iranian terrorists get into space.

And we need to neutralize the threat which is obviously going to come from those Russians.

God Bless America

Iran Offered to Buy Mir

MOSCOW, Mar 19, 2001 (Agence France Presse)

Iran offered to buy the Mir space station to use it for military purposes during President Mohammad Khatami's recent visit, but the offer came too late to save the orbiter from destruction, a Russian expert said Monday.

"We don't know if the presidents discussed the issue in their talks, but the bilateral working groups during the visit did," said Radzhab Safarov of the state-funded Center for Coordination of Russo-Iranian Projects.

Iran had proposed paying for the maintenance of Mir for another two to three years in return for Russia's training Iranian cosmonauts, the expert told a press conference.

Tehran was interested in exploiting Mir for military uses, he said.

"The Mir station, with the equipment onboard, could hardly fail to have a dual function, notably surveillance of missile launches and low-orbit flights, which would enable their interception," Safarov said.

The Iranian proposal, whose value he did not reveal, "unfortunately arrived too late," as it was impossible to cancel Mir's destruction, due to take place on Friday March 23.

During his visit last week, President Khatami visited the Russian mission control (TSuP) near Moscow.

Hey Ronzo! Long time no see. How's the hip?

You sound remarkably healthy, although I see you're still shaving a few years off your age. You're 90 now...remember??

Hey, you're time in office wasn't in vain at all. Whether by accident or not, you successfully freed the people of the USSR from communism. And now, the people are living under a wonderful democracy, starving in the streets and being lied to just like they were before.

Threat from the Russian's? Damn straight, you yanks better stop cutting from defense, hopefully Dubya knows that. Quite frankly once the Russian's exploit Siberia for all it is worth you will have another superpower in the world, one that knows how to make some damn fine weapons of war.

Just remember that Russian doctrine is focused on defense, not offense. Why do you think they put Nuke's in Cuba, because NATO had Nuke's in Turkey. Right in their backyard.

The smart play is to be letting Russia into NATO, because the bigger problem in the future will be the Chicomms, they need room, and fast...

You are right. I am 90 now, aren't I? It is kind of coming back to me now. You know I have a hard time remembering a lot of things these days; if it wasn't for having it written on my hand I wouldn't even remember my own name.

The hip's not bad either. Although at time I don't even remember having a problem with it.

And now, the people are living under a wonderful democracy, starving in the streets and being lied to just like they were before.

I appreciate your words in saying that my time in the White House wasn't a complete and utter waste of time. As you stated yourself, Russia today is exactly like here. Now, maybe I should send Ollie over there to liven things up.

God Bless America!
