so stupid, born not so far from the Achterhoek, but never been there!!!! I want to try the new Lint-train from Syntus soon when i'm back at my folks' home.....

Don't try it, it will be a dissapointment. Sure, the Syntus trains nowadays run more or less on time (could be quite a revelation for someone who is used to Randstad rail travel Big grin

), and they look very futuristic, but other than that they are not so good.

They are small, narrow, lack capacity, lack toilets etc. The seats are nothing more than a wooden shelf with a piece of cotton rougly 1 cm thick. Obviously, they sit quite bad. Fortunately the Syntus also operates some Buffel trains, for the time being at least.

If you try the train, do not try it in the rush hours, the trains are crowded enough as it is. Big grin

On the more positive side, there is airconditioning and an LED-screen showing the next destination. Both things lacked in the Buffel.

what about Plan U?? are they still doing a good job at the Syntus tracks??

I used to go to school with Plan U trains between Zutphen and Apeldoorn for 1 1/5 year ago, and experienced nothing but damn trouble with that train!!!

yes they have, but they do not always properly. A frequently heard announcement is:

"Het volgende station is Zevenaar, dient U hier over te stappen"
(next station is Zevenaar, you need to change here).

This should be:

"Het volgende station is Zevenaar, voor de bus richting ... ... ... dient U hier over te sappen."
(next station is Zevenaar, for the bus in the direction ... ... ... you need to change here).

Kinda confusing for people who do not know how Syntus operates.
