Men With Bald Heads

Why is it that so many guys have hang ups about going bald? Some guys look kind of sexy with a receding hairline. Guys look sillier with the toupee and patches. It's really no big deal. My boyfriend who is 27 has issues about this because his hairline is starting to recede. I don't see why he is so upset about this.
Do any of you guys have bald heads?

What about guys like me that CHOOSE to be bald?

Every morning, when I am getting ready for work at 3:30AM, after I emerge from the shower, I lather up my head with Gillette foamy cream, and take a Mach 3 shaver to it.

It's smooth as a babys ass.

And I think it looks good too.

I don't know why, but we just worry about baldness. It could be vanity, or just a male insecurity about not being able to attract women.

They say baldness is passed on through your mother's genes, so you have to examine her father and brothers to know your chances of being bald. Well, my mother's father has minimal baldness, and she has no brothers, so far nothing has happened to my hair, so I keep hoping....

I'm not bald by a long shot but in June 1988 my hair turned white. It bothered me for about 33 seconds. I feel that any man that is interested in a woman that judges him for his hair, or lack of hair or the color deserves the bimbo he gets.

I had a nervous habit of picking the hairs out of my head and I had a bald spot for a while.

My brother has an almost shaved head, he has had that style for a few years. ..maybe he is going bald and doesn't know it! Laugh out loud

Yeah really. If you're bald, you're bald. I used to date a guy who was a Hair Club member. It looked really good and I didn't even know it at first. The combover is the worst though!

Guess the issue has to do because getting bald is associated with getting older. Esp. when you loose your hair in your early twenties, it's the first signal you really are not a boy anymore, you can feel you are now litterally over the top.
Also tastes differ, but I think bald guys are less attractive, I would always prefer to date someone not bald, coz I like "boyish" men. An ex friend prefered baldy's though while I still have my hair Crying

unfortunately baldness runs in the family.
Im 17 almost 18 (March 5), and I fear that I might already see the signs of a hairline on the retreat.
I found this out is a very bad way. In tenth grade, a girl came up to me (i liked this girl at the time), and, while rubbing the sides of my head, said "your going bald already!"
I will never forget that. What a traumatic way to find out!

I'd rather be completely bald rather than have a receding hairline. Its already starting for me and I'm only 21...so I'm either going to start shaving the head or taking Rogaine pretty soon Smile

The most ridiculous is guys who pretend to have hair...my father is a perfect example. He has like ten hairs left, but he grows them long enough to comb over his bald head. Then, when there's a gust of wind, whoosh, they're up in the air and not coming down Smile

I can't really tell if I'm going bald. I does run on my Dad's side of the family though. All the guy on my Mom's side had a full head of hair. When I was a teenager I had a full head of thick hair. Now, at 22 I still have a full load of hair but it has become very fine and I'm not sure if its thinning out or not.

I have always had a high hair line. I thought it was receeding when I was 16 but it hasn't moved since. I still look at the back of my head every day to see if a bald spot is forming, and if it happens I'll go get Rogaine.
