Favourite Aviation Mag?

What are your favourite aviation magazines? My two are Australian Aviation and Airliner World.

I read Flying every month... I also read Airliners on occasion.

AOPA Pilot, hands down. Best articles and pictures. I have a subscription to Flying, but it doesn't quite do it for me - I feel like it lacks some technichal "teeth," and the photography is mediorce. I usually pick up Pilot Journal. The articles are usually kind of fluffy, but the photography is spectacular.

Other favorites: Airways, Plane and Pilot, Airliner Wourld [sic] ,Golf, Golf Digest, Bike.... oh wait... those last three aren't aviation magazines at all!

Any vintage Flight International or any old av. magazines, jeez its true pleasure looking back on fake proposed planes and wishful concepts these old airplane mags contained. Big grin

But for today it would be the American mag "Airliners" that is a fantastic magazine, lots of great articles and stuff, I dont really like Airliner World it seems to copy article topics from Airways Magazine and keeps having articles on leisure/holiday and charter airports!  Pissed

NormalSpeed, you've got a point about Flying, but I think that the writing is pretty good and I like the personalities.

And, yeah, Golf, Golf Digest... those are great too-- I'm sure there's some way to tie em in with aviation. Ah yes, you go flying to go golfing to.. ok, I'll stop now before my incoherent sentences get any worse.

I subscribe to Airways, its awesome, especially Rick Drury's last column.
I like Flyings "I learned about Flying from that" series, it always has good pictures and a fun story.

I also read AOPA, its great, and Pilot Getaways.

Airliner World has published some of the best material however it has also published some of the worst material. My vote goes to Airways for its consistency.

Flight International, Airline Business, plus I don't buy Airways, I take it upstairs and read it at the Starbucks on the 2nd floor of our local Borders bookstore-Rick Drury has a charming way with words-very 'American Home Pie' style, but I guess it's a novelty here in the UK.

Get Flight International every wek.
Buy Air International nearly every month.
If the following have enough to interest me in an issue;
Air Forces Monthly, Air and Space, Wingspan, Airways.

Well lets see there is the standard three that I get every month AOPA, Sport Aviation (EAA) and Sport Aerobatics(IAC). I occasionaly enjoy reading warbirds, and will pick up Flying if theres something in it that I like in particular.
At worst, you screw up and die.

Airliners and Airways are both excellent magazines. I always read them. I'm not really into Airliner World since it's more focused on European airlines and charter airlines and stuff. More into European aviation.

Playboy... erm no, I admit I haven't asked them for that. Till a few months ago I couldn't have done it anyway, because it was banned from Malta. Ironically enough, at the same time Agenda stocked mags such as Gay Times, Lesbian whatevers etc...
I'd stick with Playpen if I were to buy such a magazine, it's supposed to be An Appreciation of Maltese women!
