My mother is from Greece and my father is Jewish from Canada. I was born in the U.S. and hold both U.S. and Canadian citizenship. I can probably claim EU citizehship as well (and am looking into that right now). I consider myself American.

I'm German. One of my Grand-Grand-fathers was American, one of my Grand-Grand-mothers was French (well, half-half - her nationality changed during the Franco-German war in 1870/71)

I am American. My ancestors are from Sweden, Denmark, England, Belgium, and the Netherlands. All of them immigrated to the U.S. after 1885. My English grandfather was born in South Africa, moved back to England, and immigrated to the U.S. shortly thereafter in 1935.

I was born on a US Naval Base in Okinawa, Japan. Father is from USA, mom is from Japan. I have a US passport and I am a US citizen, I am not sure if I possess dual citizenship.
On my father's side, I believe I'm part British, German, and Dutch.

Hepkat,

Those B*****S wouldn't give me the citizenship even thou I was born in the country, lived there until I'm 15 years old and my father was born there too.
All that because I do not have any Latvian roots.

Godbless, Romanian?

But what can you or can't you do with a non-citizen's passport? For example, when you travel, are you considered Latvian? Does the same go for visa requirements, are you allowed to vote, get social benefits, etc?

It's an interesting concept that I've never heard of before. I've always thought you were either a citizen or a non-citizen of a country, not somewhere in-between!
