Also, it needs to be pointed out that having a US sportscar in Europe is a heavy burden compared to owning it in the US, unless you are wealthy. The high fuel prices, unavailability of parts etc mean that owning a Euro/Jap car is easier.

Anyway, as for BMW the only Beamer I would ever buy would be the M3, as the others are IMHO overpriced and underpowered for the price. I reckon the Audi A4 as an example is much better value than the comparable 3 series BMW. Same with Mercedes. But if I moved to the US I would go straight from the airport to the nearest Dodge or Chevrolet dealer, as a matter of the utmost urgency! All that cheap fuel! Heaven! Big grin

Staffan, So far so good. I am going to look at some at a dealer this weekend. I'm looking to get a black one w/ the black interior so it should be pretty cool. I plan to purchase it after the first of the year.

Black car...hope you enjoy washing it every day. It probably gets really hot in there with the black interior as well. Had a Civic like that and it was a pain to have.

Here are the figures for stock standard Skyline GTR's...

R32 GT-R: 0-100km/h=4.73 secs
: 1/4 mile: 13.02 secs
:Torque:353 [email protected]
R33 GT-R: 0-100km/h=4.94 secs
: 1/4 mile:13.19 secs
:Torque: [email protected]
R34 GT-R V-SPEC: 0-100km/h=4.92 secs
: 1/4 mile: 13.13 secs
:Torque:392 [email protected]

By the way all these cars are 4WD and these performance figures are for a stock standard Skyline. With a little light tuning these cars can easily make it into the 11 sec 1/4 mile bracket. Furthermore all of these cars is capable of reaching 300km/h.

RICER ALERT!!! RICER ALERT!!! RICER ALERT!!!

The problems with ricers is that they get all their numbers by the RPM the engine turnes, not from the size of the motor. In many ways this makes them frauds.

That is why the classic muscle cars where soooo much better. They actually had the Cubic Inches (Not CC's) to back up their performance numbers.

OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

Ryanb741 is right on the money regarding the kick-ass perfomance of the GTR. I was next to a R33 GTR on a main raod and i tell ya when one of those things launches it's gone in a matter of seconds. The GT-R is definitely in the same leauge as a Porsche 911 turbo.

Although i have nothing against the S2000 or anything but TWAL1011, that stang' of yours is as sweet as can be! Damn what a fine pair of wheels! I would go for a stang' over the s2000 but that's only because american V8 power isn't all that common here in sweden and a common car is the last thing i wan't.

I think the S2000 is a respectable car for a kid.
But when rev it up to 8K to get it to move, it sounds like a lawn mower on steroids.
It's good looking..but it's just a Honda.

Thanks for the compliment, Mika. I couldn't be happier with the car. It's not as quick as the '91 I had, but it's far more refined in ride, handling, and braking power. A nice little ride.
