I went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA last thursday with my military buds. We'll, my favourites there was the Apollo Chariot since we rode on that ride like 10 times all day and also the Alpengeist was also a great ride.

My favorite roller coaster (right now) is Superman Ultimate Flight @ Six Flags Over Georgia. Flying coasters are the best, almost like being a bird.

The only park I've been to is Magic Mountain.... but by far the best coaster there is Riddler's Revenge. In second would have to be the Viper, an older steel coaster, but still pretty good.

I'd do anything to go to Cedar Point, Sandusky Ohio... My god... the amount of top-quality rollercoasters there is awesome, although I dunno whether i'd ride that 400ft one :p

My favourite so far is probably Nemesis at Alton Towers, the rollercoaster i've been the most on though is Oblivion, 26 times Big grin

six flags over clevealand's X flight. It's so freaking being held in by body straps and facing the ground. Feels like you could fall out any second.

When I went to Six Flags Atlanta last year on a high school band trip, my friend and I waiting 2 hours in line to ride on the Superman, but what pissed us off was we were like the 2nd in line to go and guess what...the coaster was broken. So we waited in line for 30 minutes and time was out, we had to go. So we left the line and head back and what really pissed us off was once we left the line, the roller coaster was fixed and was ready to go.

Damn!

I was at Alton Towers a couple of days ago and loved every minute of it. Air is absolutely amazing!! It really feels as if your about to hit the ground then it just pulls up at the last mili second, I loved it!!! In fact, I love that whole theme park!

We dont have many roller coasters here in Malaysia (most are lame), but those coasters u guys get look cool.

I would like to try Deja Vu, X, or X-Flight one day. They look superb..

The only dose of rollercoasters i get here is from RollerCoaster Tycoon Sad

Call me old fashioned, but you just can't beat the Beast at King's Island in Cincinnati, Ohio. You can't mess with the longest wooden roller coaster in the country. The Beast is an awesome ride.

The only three coasters I have been on are Space Mountain, Matterhorn, and Thunder Mountain Railroad all at Disneyland. They were good, but I want to do more!
I really want to go on a coaster that has the track above the car so my feet are hanging. I was watching a show on Discovery Channel about roller coasters and there is one in Michigan that looks cool, too. A wooden one that gets speed from one hill and takes the whole course without any other power. I also want to do the coasters in Las Vegas: Manhattan Express, High Roller, and Sands.

There is a Deja Vu @ SFOG, it's my second fav coaster, although sitting in the last part of the car and looking straight down like that is pretty scary.

I was at Disney World all last week, but took a day trip over to Islands of Adventure and The Hulk definitely wins as being at least the best coaster in Florida. Fire and Ice (Dueling Dragons) are also awesome. Rock'n'Rollercoaster at Disney MGM is good, the launch is fun, but too short, and Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain, both of which I have been on at least 80 times combined are those just for fun coasters. No real thrills involved.

I must also give an honorable mention to every coaster at Cedar Point, although Mantis, Millennium Force, and Raptor are my favorites there in that order. I haven't had the chance to ride their two newest ones yet. Maybe later this summer I'll make the journey there.

As for my favorite coaster I think that would be Superman: Ride Of Steel at Six Flags Darien Lake near Buffalo, NY. I have sat in the front of that ride so many times and it is simply amazing each and every time. I think what I like most about it that after dropping down that first 208ft hill you level out and then take a sharply banked left turn at a speed of 75mph only three feet off the ground. I love that feeling. Add the wind in your face and the shrieks of terror behind you and WOW. It is simply a great ride that maintains its speed and thrill throughout most of the adventure. Smile

My favorite has to be "Medusa" at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. It goes really fast, twirls a ton, plus you get a good view of the park where the cars drive through and there are animals! I saw monkeys on a Mercedes SUV!

"Mark 4" at Stampede Park. That and the rollercoaster at Calaway Park are the only ones I have ever been on.
30 seconds is Not what I call a rollercoaster. I almost fell asleep on one of those..

The Mindbender at West Edmonton Mall is like the largest coaster Indoors, I enjoyed that ride very much and would have to say that is my favorite.

I found the "Incredible Hulk Coaster" at Universal Islands of Adventure/Orlando to be the most spectacular coaster I have been on so far.
Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay also was a fantastic ride (I managed to get my private ride together with my mate being the only two people on the train, first row...wow!)
I also heard that "Expedition GForce" at the Holiday Park in Hassloch/Germany is a great new coaster but I didn´t have the time to get there yet...

Hey,
I just got back from a class trip yesterday to Six Flags New England. I agree Superman: The Ride of Steel has to be one of my favorites. No loops or rolls, just tons of speed and lots of hills. The one thing I didn't like on it though was that the bar that held you in was built like a yoke. The damn bar went between your legs and crushed your nuts.

Also at Six Flags New England check out the large wooden coaster in the corner of the park. I don't remember the name but it's next to the Boomerang type coaster. That wooden coaster was so bumpy and you practically get thrown out of it. Good stuff.

Also:
-The Hulk in Universal was good.
-The Comet at the Great Escape in Lake George New York. Good ride. I think it was voted one of the best wooden coasters a few years back.

If there are any theme park buffs in the area, be sure to check out the Mega Zeph here at Six Flags New Orleans. It just flat out kicks your butt!!

It's a classic wooden-tracked coaster (named Mega Zeph in honor of the famous Zephyr coaster, which was a crowd pleaser at the old Pontchartrain Beach amusement park here for decades) with a 110ft drop, over 60mph, and the track is over 4000ft long with plenty of drops and sharp curves over the lake. Well worth a ride.

Batman:The Ride is another good one at the park, but my vote goes out to the Mega Zeph as the wildest ride on the Bayou. Well, next to a flight on a US Airways Express Beechcraft coming in from Shreveport. Smile

The coaster at Primm Valley (south of Las Vegas) is one of my fav's... the largest and fastest drop of any coaster in the US!

Nate I hate to break this to you but Desperado has now been surpassed in both categories...The tallest and fastest coaster in America is now Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point at a whopping 420 ft. tall with a top speed of 120+ mph, and before that Millennium Force at Cedar Point also which is 310 ft. tall and has a top speed of 93 mph...by comparison Desperado is 225 ft. tall and has a top speed of 80 mph...

Alright I'm pissed at Cedar Point. The top thrill dragster is CONSTANTLY breaking down. I am afraid to ride it, because there is always something wrong with that thing every day. The parks attendence figures are even down becuase of that. 410 feet of broken metal = too scary for me. They gotta work out the technology, before they try to build something like that. Big grin

AIR and Oblvion at Alton Towers - UK, are the best roller coasters in the world!!! Air does make you feel like your flying (which feels good!!!) and oblivion is the first vertical free fall roller coaster in the world!!!
Also, even though its not a roller coaster, Test Track at Epcot, Florida is the best ride in the world! Nothing beats it, not even close.

My favorite wooden coaster has got to be the Rattler at Fiesta Texas outside San Antonio. At one point it was the fastest wooden roller coaster in the world...Its absolutely great.
