I'll take a ground steak with cheese over a Big Mac or Whopper any day.

Double Whopper with cheese over a Big Mac anyday. Although a 4x4 at In N Out is muuuuuuuch better than BK anyday. But, considering I live in Nebraska, In N Out is outta the question!

CanyonBlue has a point. Rochester, New York has, hands down, the best cheeseburgers in the world.

However...

If left up to me, I'll take a Double Double, animal style from In-N-Out Burger, or a Jack In The Box Ultimate Cheeseburger in second place.

List me for any burger made at the Arctic Roadrunner.

It is a burger place here in Anchorage. There is one on Arctic between Northern Lights and Benson, and one on Campbell Creek accross from the Peanut Farm at Old Seward and International Airport Road.

Excellent goopy burgers!

Guys i wasnt meaning these are my two favorite fast food places, actually my favorite fast food place is taco bell or arby's. But ill take a Whopper over the Big Mac if its my only two options.

I prefer the Whopper, it taste much better than this Mc Donald's crap but in general I prefer a Subway Sandwich (mostly steak and cheese). When I'm in the USA I prefer fast food chains like Carl's Junior, In 'n Out, Jack In The Box or IHOP which we don't have here in Germany (unfortunately).

Eh, Whopper, I guess. I preffer Wendy's or Subway, though. The only things I've ever liked at McD's are the vanilla cones and the McRib. And the McRib only comes along once every decade, for some reason. Eh.

I like a Whopper Jr. w/ Cheese over a Big Mac ANY day.

When I lived in Ft.Worth though it was Whattaburger.
They also had this little hamburger joint near Carswell AFB called Griff Burgers. It remember it had this clown head for a symbol on its sign. They had the greasiest burgers I have ever tasted. A real dive that place was. I wonder if still exists?

IF they are the ONLY choice(s), the Whopper 's got Mac beat. I think Burger King also used to market a "Whaler" fish sandwich who's plastic taste was less offensive than McDonald's. Gotta love them-those McDonald's fries, though...jack

I'll go with the Whopper on this one... Everything, except for the fries, at McDonalds absolutely suck.

TS, I believe we have the Big King here in the States, but it is called something else...I have no idea.

I dont mind a Whopper, but I think there are so many better places...What-A-Burger, Jack in the Box, even Wendy's. But the best is still a double-double at In n Out (especially when its the In N Out at Sepulveda next to LAX Big thumbs up

Well, since you folks insist on not keeping this soley between McDonald's and Burger King, Henry Ford II's favorite meal at work was a hamburger. The Glass House chefs ground filet mignon or another cut of best beef. They were the best 'burgs in the world...I was lucky enough to dine with him and Crew twice, many years ago. Gimme a self-glossing shaft if you want to, but make sure it's a roller with about 14 degrees overlap, both intake and exhaust and 20 thou valve lifter clearance setting (and just a touch of salt on the burg, no bullshit sauces or ketchup and other disguises needed)...jack

Big Macs certainly attact flys better, but if you want to catch dogs, get the whopper. They like to roll in them.

It should be plain illegal to serve that crap to the public....

Whopper, but if I can avoid both of them, I do it.

BTW, the best burger I ever had, was this summer in Sweden: there's a small kiosk to the right of the railway station in Lulea (yes! Where the servers of a.net have home), big burger, wonderful taste, small cost, very nice guys behind the desk. It's a pity I can't remember the name of that kiosk!

I haven't eaten at BK in five years. I took the kids there once and found a pube in my cheeseburger. Six months after that, I got brave enough to try again. I went with 3 buddies from work. We all missed the next 3 days of work pushing the porcelain bus. Never again. Burger King is the worst.

BK's whopper is clearly superior.

Althogh, the best burger in Boston is at Mr. Bartley's Burger in Harvard Square. They make a DAMN good burger with great fries (they make awesome sweet potato fries too!), and onion rings. MM!
