Hateful? Please. Towards gays? I dont think so. Not only does your post border on slander, but it is also complete flamebait. Anyway, I dont care if youre gay. I've made that abundantly clear many times. I have no religious views, its your life and you can do whatever the hell you want with it...just dont bother me. I think gays get a bad reputation and its militants like you who give you that reputation. People who are incapable of taking jokes, who attend pride parades dressed in drag, and people who take themselves way too seriously give gays a bad name. Take a hint: We're all not out to get you!

I did not see any ages given, but if he is between, say 18 and 25 and from a conservative home or area of the country, he could be dropping hints that he may be gay. What I would do is just straight up (no pun intended) tell him: "close your freakin' door when you do that!"

Take him down to the local strip club one night. I'm sure they have nice facilities in the restroom for him to take care of business, that will hopefully save you in the morning....if it doesn't make it worse.

Take him magazine/dvd shopping, get him away from the computer. He is probably too embarassed to go by some real porn in person. Show him how a man does it!

You're right. There is a KO that needs to be issued here. So here goes:

KROC, in one of the finest moments of his career absolutely decimated all of his 'opponents' in one fell swoop.

In a matter of seconds, Aa61hvy, LHMark, Covert, and Ual747 all come crashing down like a piñata at a Cinco de Mayo party held in East LA. Of course, calling these folks "opponents" when pitted against KROC is like comparing a 1949 Nash Rambler against a 2003 Excusrion in terms of being modern.

Just my two cents: I'm a girl (are you going to accuse me of 'whining like a girl' now?) and I'm straight and I totally agree with Ual747 and Kevi747. Gay jokes are NOT funny. To me, gay jokes are as bad as racist jokes. I do not see why it is so hard to understand that calling each other 'gay' or 'fags' and using this as a term of derision is offensive.

But let me just clarify one thing: It's not the homophobic undertones in these "signed by" posts that offends me. No, that would imply that I care what these guys think of gay people....which I don't. What I'm offened by is their complete lameness and lack of any kind of originality or humor. (I mean, if you're going to crack a gay joke, at least make me laugh.)

Plus, they're totally overused. Open any topic in the non-aviation forum and (no matter what the topic is) it will always end with KROC going down on Jcs17 while AA61HVY hoses them down with copious amounts of Astroglide. True humor comes when reality is the opposite of what was expected. It's the same reason all sitcoms suck: you can clearly see the joke being set up, and you can say the punch line with the characters. Or maybe YOU guys can't and I'm just really, really smart. Who knows?

I have been around these forums for a while now, and I know who is joking about the fag stuff and who is not. I have said before in other threads that *PERSONALLY* if someone close to me wants to call me fag, queer, homo, or whatever, it does not bother me. I work with people from Russia, Ukraine and Mexico that call me fag in their respective languages and this does not bother me as I consider them close friends: we go to coffee, talk about our families, help each other move bodies Big grin

the usual.....

Likewise, it does not bother me to see MattD, KROC, or Superfly making fag remarks since I have "known" them as long as I have been posting here. I have never met anyone from this board, but, going with my instinct, I don't have a problem with them or a few others using those terms.

Besides, sometimes we take life too seriously. Just remember, no one gets out alive.....

I have not been keeping up with this thread (note the number of hits/views!). How did the gay-bashing start?
