C'mon now; every sport requires its own set of skills that you have to master if you want to play at a very high level.
The guy who thinks that soccer doesn't require any special skill has obviously never played the game.
The guy who thinks playing baseball is easy has never played the game.
The guy who thinks playing basketball is easy is, well, he's right about this one.

If you're 2,30 m/7ft 6in tall, you could probably play 10-12 minutes a game in the NBA and make 2-3 M$/year...
If you're a good gymnist, it doesn't mean you could be a good quaterback. And vice-versa.
But haven't you ever noticed that guys who are very good in one sport will often time be at least decent in many other sports. I know that Mario Lemieux, maybe the best hockey player of all time, is such a good golf player that he did consider trying his luck on the
PGA.
And Michael Jordan played at least
AA in pro baseball; not bad. I know many american football players were excellent track & field athletes.
But I do think hockey and soccer players need a more comprehensive set of skills (upper body and lower body strength, speed, power, hand to eye coordination, balance, endurance, flexibility, peripheral vision, excellent reflexes, etc).
