What's In Your Cd Player?

Sun Jan 04, 2004 12:26 pm

As opposed to the "Story, Word, Guilty or innocent, or whatever the [email protected]%^ assosciation" threads, lets do something slightly more interesting. What is in your CD player?

Right now, I would have to say that I am listening to my copy of Live, "Secret Samadhi." Good cd. What are you listening to?

I refuse to purchase CD's... the RIAA can go screw themselves. I download the tracks I want and will not pay $15 for 1 decent song. (I pay for the downloads so keep your knickers on.)

I also have been known to download songs (saves wonders on the one-hit wonder bands), But there are seriously some cds worth paying the $15 for.
BTW, I use KaZaA. Free, and new legislation made it impossible to prosecute dowloaders. Big grin

Currently, I am featuring Miles Davis, Kind of Blue. Before that was John Mayer, Heavier Things, and next up in the changer will be Norah Jones, Come Away With Me (I'll go anywhere with you, Miss Jones), and Fortune Cookies from Alana Davis.

CD player? That's so 20th Century. MP-3 players put CD players to shame. I download (legally, as I have no problem paying 99 cents for a song) my music, back it up on CD (just in case my computer's HD or my MP-3 player's HD takes a dump). I've got over 12 hours of music on my player (I'm not even using a tenth of my players HD), and that's a lot of CDs that I don't have to lug around.

Thats not true, you have mistunderstood the most recent ruling. The recent ruling states that the RIAA cannot make Kazaa produce user lists. So they have to get their own info. I use Kazaa and I doubt the RIAA will come after you or me.

I burn my own CDs but I have nothing in the player at the moment. When I was going to Seattle last week, I was listening to Electric Joe Satriani and some CDs I burned. Those CDs have songs by Los Angeles Azules, Cristian Castro, Chayenne, Anggun, Darude, Dubstar, and Conjure One and others.

GO CANUCKS!!
