Hooray for Matt D!!!  Big thumbs up

I was just about to put a word in for See's Chocolates.

There's a See's store in downtown Salt Lake City where I used to go all the time before going on Atkins to get some good chocolates. They have the BEST molasses chews as well. Soft centers, fudge, straight chocolate, whatever your taste, I have never tasted moe delicious chocolate than See's Chocolates. Big grin

The molasses chews though are my favourite. And I love how sterile and clean every See's store is. The chocolate is the main attraction. Makes your mouth water the minute you enter the door.

Hi,
My favorites are:
Milka (Noissette)
Ritter Sport (Nugat)!

Hershey is just junk stuff
in my opinion.

I also like Galaxy and Cadbury's
sold in Europe.
Several Chocs from FINNLAD,
Austria and Swiss are also SUPERB!
,

Advanced

I have trouble understanding how Cadbury and Hersheys are so popular.

It's probably the same principle as vegemite/marmite, or that strange vomit-flavoured yoghurt drink that seems popular in Mongolia, or extra-salty children's sweets in Scandinavia. If you're raised on it - if you eat it from day 1 - then you become acclimatised to it, and your palate adapts. However, the rest of the world is happy to ignore it.  Big grin

How could I forget : Cote d'Or !!!!! Recently celebrated 120 Years of chocolate making : Even though it's been bought by Kraft, Cote d'Or remains the best 'mass' chocolate EVER !!!!!!!

Belgian chocolate indeed... Guiulian is just superb.

Not exactly "chocolate" but I can't resist to the Italian "Rafaello"

Interestingly enough, the new hot trend for chocolates is what they call single source chocolate--they only use one kind of cacao beans in making the chocolate.

However, many chocolate fanciers think this is a terrible idea, as usually the best chocolates tend to use cacao beans from multiple sources.

Wow...all this and no one mentioned the sumptuous Macadamias/wrapped in Milk Chocolate, where you gain 50lbs eating munching them down waiting a departing flight from HNL!
