OK, does this shit really happen?
A friend of mine on the East coast said that the latest fad at parties is "plugging in," where the losers at the party will take turns playing songs off their iPod. I can't think of anything that would kill the mood of a party faster, aside from TWISTEDWHISPER showing up. I'd imagine the conversation going something like this:
Jerkoff #1: Hey there, great party you've got here. I really like the ambiance with the lights turned all the way up, guys farting for fun and fat, disgusting girls.
Jerkoff #2: Thanks buddy, my pleasure. Is there enough Busch Ice to keep you well-hydrated?
J1: There sure is... Say, I don't mean to impose or be ungrateful, but I was wondering if I could plug in for a bit. This party needs some juicing up and "The Chipmunks Sing Aretha Franklin's Greatest" isn't really, um, cutting the mustard. I've got some bitchin' Kenny G and Barry Manilow. We could totally groove to that.
J2: Why of course, plugging in is the coolest fad since watch guards and snap bracelets! Far be it from me to stop you from ruining my party. After all, it sucked to begin with.
So have any of you been in this situation? Was it uncomfortable? Were you permitted or did you permit the plugging in? But most important, does this
really happen?
