Hi people!

The Mega Man Meet turned out to be a huge success. I had an AMS meet in mind for a while now and last weekend and in the "Mega Man Report" I noticed a lot of interest for another get together at my home airport.

I decided to steal Pe@rson's style. So copy and paste the form below and put your name on the dates you can attend. You can choose more than one. We will have our "Amazing AMS Meet" on the date with the most names on it. The deadline for this 'poll' is Sunday 18 July. Wow, the turnout so far seems to be increasing at a rapid rate. It will be good to meet everybody who I have yet to meet!!

I'm working on hotel details at the moment. I'll post them in the official thread.
There are 5 hotels to choose from although it would be a nice thing if we all could stay at 1 or 2 hotels like at MAN. However I don't want to limit anyone's choice.
The Sheraton have rooms with airport view and is directy connected to the terminals via Schiphol Plaza, a shopping mall open till 9:30 and the railway station. A 5 min. walk to the viewing deck.
The NH-hotel is another fairly priced hotel near a very good vantage spot. rooms with a few on the threshold of 06 are available at the top floor. It's only fun for landings though.

I too think that it would be a good idea to stay in 1 or 2 of the hotels, no spread out all over the place. But of course, it is everybody's choice as to where they want to go. Is the Sheraton kind of like the SAS Radisson at MAN?

Yep, but slightly cheaper. € 125.00 per room per night if you make your bookings via internet. Price is excl. very expensive breakfast and 6% citytax.
Whereas the NH-hotel is € 90.00 per room per night with the possibility for a third bed in the room for € 20.00. Also excl. breakfast and 6% citytaxes.

If I'm able to attend, I'll probably fly KL from HUY or Jet2 from LBA. I'll also probably stay in a hostel in central AMS (there's some very good - and extremely cheap - ones by the train station) and go from there to the airport (it takes about 15-20 mins each way by train) as necessary.

I think this time I´ll definitely fly IB...only EUR 160!!

At the moment, it looks as if I may be coming on the Friday evening(or early on Saturday, but Friday looks more likely) and either go late on the Sunday or extremely early on the Monday (have got school that morning!!)

The flights at the moment are around £70 upwards, dependent upon when exactly you fly.

Pe@rson, do you have any prices for these hostels?

I was a bit concerned that the Il-62 flight in Czech Rep. was going to clash with this meet too, which is why I haven't put my name down here yet.
