The Official 2004 Democratic Whining Thread

Wed Nov 03, 2004 3:23 pm

Come on ladies, now that this buffon of a President, a person characterized as a moron and an idiot by many of you has won re-election by capturing both the electoral and the popular votes - what excuses do you have?

I guess the anyone but Bush battle cry should have been anyone but Bush or a liberal flip flopping New England democrat.

Steaksauce has been awfully quite tonight.

Funny,

All the INTELLECTUAL parts of America (California, New York, Mass, Penn) all voted Kerry... all the major cities in Ohio, Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin voted KERRY!!!!!!.

It is clear that the red-neck rural social issues of America GAYS AND GUNS... is what everybody is obsessed with.

Ridiculous.

God Bless America..

It took exactly one post for the European intelligencia to grace us with their presence. Unless you agree with us - you are all stupid. Great post OYRJA.

Come to Europe - we're all about inclusion - as long as you agree with us.

Thanks - now suck on the fact that you've got W to deal with for 4 MORE YEARS!

Also also beg to differ.

Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando, St. Pete/Clearwater, Tallahassee, and Gainesville all went to Kerry. Milwauke and Madison went to Kerry, Detroit and Lansing with to Kerry, Cleveland and Columbus went to Kerry.

Except for Tampa and Cincinatti (though, Cincinatti is not officially decided yet), the major cities in those states went for Kerry.

For me, the simple fact was that both of these guys are tools but Kerry is just a much bigger tool than GW. Hopefully in four years we can have a much better pair of canidates.

Ahhh, nothing better than whiney Canadians and Europeans! Call us dumb, call us stupid for electing Bush, but again who are you? Unimportant! Haha Euros now you can go back to your lives of poor hygeine and whining about the "mean" Americans.

I'd actually like to dedicate this win to the Euros: Thanks guys, your (and Kerry's) style of foreign policy drove Bush to a victory! And oh yeah, BN747 where's your Kerry 311 electoral vote now? And Falcon84, so sorry, but Bush bashing does not make for a meaningful and a winning campaign! And Mrniji and ClickHappy, I can't wait for your latest whine about how Bush sucks.

Nothing worse than a sore loser, nothing better than being a sore winner--especially when you've heard "Bush sucks" for the three years from this site.

Time to bust out the bubbly!!!

Yeah really? What's with the Euro-hating on here. I understand that its our choice, but don't some people realize that our actions directly impact those of other countries? Americans on here are all too willing to chime in on Airbus subsidies, immigration law, and Israel/Palestine relations. God forbid someone from another country questions America's own decisions. I know we're a reactionary and defiant group, but really, try and look at the BIG picture.

For voting Republican and being a Bush supporter warrant being called a "redneck" or a "dumbass?" I don't think so. I'll have some class as soon as you guys get some... Jesus Christ, what a bunch of hypocrites.

Sadly, this is a typical response from a typical state-schooled ignorant American.

Jay for some reason.. we don't feel that way all out here in SoCal.. never have. But IRC with you being in DC..that would be way too close for comfort in my book! I guess if I was in your shoes and every time I turn around and see the Capitol or the White House..I'd have to ask myself 'My god, is my country really this stupid?' Well, what happened in 2000??  Yeah sure

I am with OYRJA... some of you guys are really dumb and stupid - your 'USA rules' attitute will ruin the world.. My hope is that my state OHIO will be won by Kerry (hopefully my vote wasn't 'lost, as it happens with votes of etnic minorities in some states regularly)... one thing I want to say: I feel ashamed for my country USA of not being a functioning democracy... pretending to be the best democracy, but soooo much manipulation. In the end, there is the danger that the conservative sick old judges (one who hopefully won't enter office again) will decide - so 'democracy exeuted by the right-wing (not neutral) judicative.. shame on America

I feel ashamed for my country USA of not being a functioning democracy...

Here's a novel idea since you seem to have a dislike for the function of American democracy so much (although I somehow doubt you'd be saying the same thing if Kerry won). Give up your citizenship! Go vote in India! Novel concept, I know, but of course you're so willing to reap the benefits of an America that "can't function."

shame on America

No, shame on you for saying that America is not a functioning democracy just because the candidate you wanted to win didn't. You're the shameful act today.

L-188, you forgot to thank DIEBOLD electronics for delivering on the promise to help Bush win (with their strategically place machines in some 30+ states)

a president with less than a 50% approval rating winning by a 3 million+ margin??? That's gotta unilaterally defy all astronomical odds and common sense...

Well OYRJA at least you got it partially right - we aren't a democracy, we're a republic (led by a Republican). W got re-elected with a majority in the popular vote of over 3.5M - he won the Presidency under the rules of our constitution and in the hearts of those who he governs.
