On TV they said Kerry Lied! and when we went to see Cheney, he said Kerry was a liar.

TV will tell you lies to make you believe them and follow them (and vote for them).

Cheney will also tell lies so that you will vote for him and not the other person.

President Bush wants to turn people against people in the United States

But Neil, isn't that what Senator Kerry was doing by bashing "the rich" for a tax cut?

Wasn't that an attempt to turn people against those who have more?

Luc, I think it's great that your dad talks to you about so many things, and that you share time with him in this way. We're glad to have you here.

You must be 13 years of age or older to participate on Airliners.net. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, Airliners.net no longer accepts membership application from users under this age.
If you are under the age of 18, then you need parental permission in order to become a member. Please note that this website is not primarily intended for the use of minors and that profane language can sometimes be found.
If you are under 18, it is especially important that you think twice before posting new messages as there's a good chance your question may have already been covered in the past.

Might want to read the rules before you let your son use the internet.

On TV they said Kerry Lied! and when we went to see Cheney, he said Kerry was a liar.

The internet says that gay people are evil and are going to burn in hell because they like anal sex - is it right?

Law states that you must be 13 to share personal information about yourself (ie creating a profile). What he is doing is perfectly legal.

Folks,

I don't talk about gays, politics or war with my son. Many of these things are picked up on television or his personal observations. I feel some of you have not been very grown up yourselves. I wanted to let my son answer some of your questions and let you experience the world through his eyes.

I believe we can learn a lot from my son so give him the chance! This is very real and I would never let him experience anything detrimental. This is his chance to talk to big people with dad helping out.

In dog years, he's actually 27, or a lot more mature than most members of this forum, myself included...

So...

Which brand of dog food do you like best?

So now a nine year old is going to jump on the a.net bandwagon. Interesting. Just a note, we can't always keep it "clean", anticipating that your nine year old son might be reading it. You let him onto this forum at your own risk....

TechRep has stated that he reads the thread to his kid. He doesn't allow him to read what is posted in the forums.. Obviously, if there is some bad language or info that he wants to censor, he won't read it out loud. You're safe to write whatever you want.. Within A.net guidelines.. Big grin

I don't talk about gays, politics or war with my son.

Thats because;

1) George fails to acknowledge gays exist.
2) US politics are too childish for 9 year olds.
3) The war is an embarassment to the US.

Right OY-RJA...

I thought something was fishy about this.... Techrep was same kid who wrote a letter to the Secret Service about the UK paper, the Guardian, and their article cheering presidential assasinations and hinting at a Bush one... as if the Secret Service doesn't read newspapers....

Suddenly this guy's now 36 with a 9 year old kid... LY744 has it partly right..some adults shouldn't be allowed near computers either...
