How Often Do You Clean Your Home?

Wed Dec 29, 2004 12:07 pm

Glass cleaning. Wood polishing. Bleaching (toilet/sink/shower/bath tub). Floor glossing. Brooming. Vacumming. Wall cleaning. Detailing. Dump trash. Bed linen change. Laundry.

That is a lot of housekeeping work! How do you keep your place in order?

I try to clean up one day a week, but most of the time I'm goofing around with something else. I usually have my room, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and yard cleaned once a week. My bed...maybe once every two weeks, and same with the car. House cleaning is a pain in the ass.

Once a week, on Sundays in the afternoon.

But general maintaining happens day to day.

The maid takes care of everything. Most of the cleaning is done every day and things like bed linen change is done every three days...

Mostly just a rolling schedule. For example, bathrooms usually get done on Sun afternoons, vacuuming is usually done on Mon and Thur, etc. The yard gets mowed twice a week in the summer, with the trimming done every other time.
