Life is sure getting interesting (the recent events in the Indian Ocean and all). I wonder if someone is trying to tell us something? I'm not that much of a religious person, but I never forgot the words of Jesus from a passage in the book of Luke (learned in school):

The expected (and increasingly observed) global climate change is not a simple linear increase; Temperatures and the weather in general are expected to be more extreme, with local and/or temporary temperature drops just as much a part of the global picture.
An accelerating density of all-time records in either direction is not a good sign, even though each individual event might not cross the threshold of the probable on its own...

We´re long past the hypothesis stage. The massive emissions from human civilization are definitely a major climate-changing factor. The actual percentages may not be certain yet, but the connection is clear.

Just look at the weather map across North America today. Its quite warm for the time of year. Its raining in Toronto today. We had freezing rain mixed with a pile of snow last night.

The tsunami was the result of a massive undersea earthquake, and had nothing to do with human or bovine emissions.

Snow in the UAE... That is amazing! By the way to see photos of the weather in the UAE check out this site: http://www.wunderground.com/wximage/imagesearch.html and search by country "United Arab Emirates". Looks like those folks have been enjoying some spectacular lightning storms too!
On the subject of wierd weather, they had some tornados in LA last week and there was a funnel cloud in San Diego today. SoCal goes from being in a severe drought to being well above average in rainfall in just a couple months.
The weather sure has been interesting. Bring it on... I love it!

What the hell does that mean? Where did I ever say it is "fun" when people die? I am just saying a change in weather is a good thing. Believe me, if you lived in a climate where its sunny and warm 350 days a year, you would also welcome a change in weather. It's interesting and an enjoyment to watch storms especially since we hardly ever get them. Sorry if you are offended by "storm watching".
