Die Hard 4 Is Underway.

Wed Feb 09, 2005 10:42 pm

10 years after the previous Die Hard film, the 4th one is now taking shape. And Bruce willis is in it, as expected.  Smile

During his visit to London, Willis revealed that "Die Hard 4 is being written as we speak. If everything goes well, we'll start filming in the autumn of 2005, on the east coast of the US".

He did not comment musch on the matter, but said "John McLane has retired, and that's all FOX will allow me to say."

that will be cool. I love the Die Hard films. I'd love another Lethal Weapon. And I hope Indy 4 gets out of development hell soon.

i found die hard 2 to be the best. The scene where that plane blew away was really amazing.

Also, the scene where mclane got stuck in the middle of the runway while a plane was landing. that was also a very stressful scene.

I'm a big fan of the Die Hard films--I think they are the best in the action/cop genre of movies. Die Hard paved the way for a lot of subsequent films. The Lethal Weapon franchise is pretty good as well.

I liked Die Hard 3 the best followed by 2 (Duh, it's at an airport.... Big grin)

"Oops...... awwww, no bullets, you think I'm f**king stupid Hans???"

"That was tricky, with the accent. I bet you do a great Ed Sullivan."

Just a few good quotes. My favorite of the three movies is still the first although the other two were good as well. I look forward to seeing the fourth.

I love the Die Hard Triology but I'm a bit leery about this one. Any sequel done 10 or more years after the previous movie usually sucks.

Let it go, the idea has been milked for all it is worth. I think the series peaked at 2. This is an example of why the movie industry is in decline, the lack of new, original ideas. Recycling your newspapers is a good idea, but movies ideas should be disposed of after one use.

In a not-so-long-ago interview Willis said he would not make any more movies along the lines of the previous "Die Hard" movies because of the trauma of those movies and the events of 9/11. The movie might be about going after the bad guys behind that heinous act, but we really don't need that, we just need to watch the daily newscasts.

It had better be better than Die Hard 3 which IMO was a complete waste of time. Great news tho as I certainly a fan of the first two (despite 2 being aviationally inaccurate)

You can't beat the original Die Hard. It was a classic example of how to make a real edge-of-your-seat suspense and action thriller.

Die Hard 2 was crap. The only people who think it was good were too busy spotting the aircraft instead of cringing at the script and becoming disillusioned with the unrealistic 'James Bond' stunts.

Die Hard 3...the usual law of diminishing returns for sequels. It just irritated me. I won't be looking forward to number 4.

My Favourite quote from die hard 1:
Detective John McClane: [recalls his wife's invitation] Come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs...

My favourite quote from die hard 2:
Al Powell: You ain't pissing in somebody's pool, are you?
John McClane: Yeah, and I'm fresh out of chlorine

My favourite quote from die hard 3:
Simon Peter Gruber: You just interfered with a very well laid plan
Zeus: Well, you can stick that well laid plan in your well laid ass

Hehe

I remember reading that Willis was in contract for a fourth Die Hard. They were going to call Tears of the Sun Die Hard 4, to get him out of the contract. Man, that would of been retarded.

My favorite quote is from Die Hard 1.

From the Nocatomi Plaza, after McClane kills a guy and takes his radio and attempts to radio for cop assistance. The Femail cop doesn't believe what he is saying and tries to tell him to stop sending false messages on a secret frequency.

Female cop dispatcher: "I'm sorry sir, you are on a restricted channel."
John: "NO F*CKING SHIT LADY! DO I SOUND LIKE I'M ORDERING A GODDAMM PIZZA?!"

Liked all of them a lot, part 2 was the best for me though. No question as the airport scenes and the story were somewhat cool. Looking forward to part 4, but that's gonna take while... If they start filimg it in autumn of 05, then it might be at the movies in Europe only in winter of 07  Sad

Also, the Indiana Jones part 4 is another great classic series being continued. Anyone got any news on that?
