Thought I would like to see who interested in what tv shows back in the 1950-1970 or earlier....I'm 21 and many guys my age have no idea the names of the shows that I watch and a few does...My list from most favourite to good...

1) Leave it to Beaver
2) Andy Griffith Show
3) Mister Ed
4) Three Stooges
5) Green Acres

As for movies, my favorite is the Laurel and Hardy series. Classic!

All good, except, I never watched Leave it to Beaver. Is classic TV anything prior to the 70's?

Lasted one season only - The Man And The Challenge starring George Nader. (no - not Ralph) Dealt with some interesting human-factors issues on the cutting edge of 1959 technology. Good footage of X-planes etc.

Have Gun Will Travel because it broke the movie typecasting mold for Richard Boone. In this series he was an intellectual and a good guy.

I agree on Rocky and Bullwinkle. Clever scripts and really bad puns that went right over the heads of many viewers.

Not sure if this already qualifies as a classic, but if it is Babylon 5 would rank high.

When I was younger, I used to watch Gilligans Island after school... I Dream of Jeannie... lots of Bewitched... Leave It To Beaver...

For 70s stuff (a lot of it being on cable) I really like The Rockford Files and Hart to Hart  Smile
