To coincide with the current Favorite Lucy Show thread going on, I thought about another classic TV show - The Carol Burnett Show - the last great prime-time variety show.

So, what was your all-time favorite skit/skits from this classic show?

Mine are the obvious ones:

Tim Conway/Harvey Korman as the Apprentice Dentist and His Patient,
Tim Conway as an old man falling down the stairs in slow motion, and
Carol Burnett in their take-off of Gone With The Wind wearing that curtain rod/drapes costume.

So, what is/are your favorites from this show?

The "Family" skit where Eunice, Mama and Ed are playing "Sorry!", absolutely hilarious, especially when Eunice loses it and screams "It was a SEVEN!"

Great show and many classic moments, but that's my favorite.

Quoting MxCtrlr (Thread starter):
Carol Burnett in their take-off of Gone With The Wind wearing that curtain rod/drapes costume

Perfect!

There was a show, done a few years back, where they reunited the cast, and showed "out takes" and such.

Some of the funniest stuff happened in the "Questions" segment at the beginning of the show. The played a clip, that was never aired, where a woman came up and sang with Carol. Priceless!

I read somewhere that polling showed "Went with the Wind" is the most popular and memorable of the sketches they did to spoof classic movies. I loved all of the movie spoofs - she even did a spoof of "Airport 75" wherein Carol played the Karen Black stewardess role. However, I think "Mildred Fierce" with Carol in those high heel shows running her "Mildred's Fatburger" restaurants is priceless.
