Just found this website for Oceanic Air; all flights have been cancelled due to a certain plane crash somewhere in the South Pacific.  Wink

Nice...
So have you told Mr. and Mrs. West yet?
Oh no, she's getting impatient! Take a stab at it!

In the spots for Adults, Seniors, etc. at the bottom, try placing 6 mysterious yet unlucky numbers and hit the "Find" button.

And this is the flight status for flt# 815:

815 Alert SYD 14:04 14:08 15 LAX 03:16 03:23 42

Also, when you click on the alert, you get a seat map, and says the day of the flight was September 22, the day "Lost" debuted. Only mistake is that the seat map is of a 777, while the plane in the show is a Tristar.

Robert D. West, of Santa Barbara, California, USA survived a horrific plane crash and is stranded on an island somewhere Northeast of Australia and Southwest of Hawaii. In the event that I am never found, please forward word of my fate to parents, Mr. and Mrs. John West, of Tucson Arizona. Thank you.

Robert

Hmmm, those seat maps look familiar. Looks like someone has taken a cue from the wonderfully detailed Delta seat maps.  Wink

in any event, what a weird page. Also, so weird was that pink paper that sort of pops up on the right side.

Well, being the 1011 is also a former DL one, that's kind of logical, isn't it?  Silly

Definitely Lost. The same flight number, same origin and destination airports, same flight number, and the day is supposedly crashed is the day the show came out. Plus, Oceanic is the name of the airline on the show, with the same logo design.

Oh My Goodness, people! Come ON!

Haha. Just kidding.

Yes, the site is related to the ABC Series, "Lost." The first season just finished up, and the new series will be coming out in September. It's a KICK-ASS show...! It will start airing in the UK on Channel 4 in August.

If you go to the seat map and click the, "magic" numbers - the actual numbers, and not the seats (in order), you will get a trailer for Season II, and it will then forward you to, http://www.oceanicflight815.com, the official ABC-run Lost forum.

Meanwhile, if you click on any set of seats in those rows, you can subsequently click on specific seats. Take note that neither Hurley, nor Michael and Walt, are on the seating map. What does this mean? HMMM.

Meanwhile, if you watch the show, you'll know that the magic numbers are:
4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42.

There are a lot of other sites out there, too... check 'em out!

Well, applaud them for at least showing a plane that would have the legs to do SYD-LAX. It would have been stupid to claim it was an L1011, with it's <6500nm range. It also would have been expensive to buy a 777 to break up. At least they aren't showing us the center engine and still calling it a 777.

That is the question. They're written on the hatch, lured the French woman and her crew to the island, and caused Hurley to win the lottery and have bad luck. Wait 'till next season for real answers, though.

If you look "under" the yellow box there is a text that says:

If anyone should find this message, please get word I'm alive and stranded on an island somewhere in the South Pacific. Please send help soon. Things are bad. And they're getting worse...

From the website:
"Click here to test your knowledge. Check back regularly. If you answer correctly, you will be added to a special email list to receive communications directly from the LOST writing team. The Island, characters, mythology, symbology…you think you have what it takes? Take a chance. The Island is Waiting..."

Look at the capitalized letters.

I never saw the show and wonder if its something one can get into halfway through the season.

perhaps its easier to jsut get it on the DVD?

At least with "24", its easier to play catch up.
