So We Are Winning The War?

Thu Jun 30, 2005 12:25 pm

KABUL, Afghanistan - U.S. military officials said Wednesday they feared all 17 troops aboard a special operations helicopter were dead after hostile fire downed the craft and it slid or rolled into a rugged mountain ravine in eastern Afghanistan If those aboard were confirmed killed, the crash would be the deadliest blow yet to American forces in Afghanistan, already grappling with an insurgency that is widening rather than winding down.

I thought that WE defeated the Taliban in the early days of the aftermath of 9/11......were we not told that they were all but a memory????...Insurgancy is on the rise in Kuwait as well this trend seems to be following th US were ever the US has troops in that part of the world.

Guess we better send mor troops to Afghanistan if this is true.

No, that 75% that Bush talked about eliminating or capturing in debate # 1, meant 3 out of 4 people who were high ranking Taliban officers.
