I think South Park is an amazing feat in the psyche of Americanism. That's to say, their humor pokes fun at American society. The creators have the ability to take American culture, and show what is wrong with it in a comical sense. For instance, Team America: World Police, a movie created by the creators of South Park. It's basically the terrorists vs. the Americans. They make fun of the fact that Americans basically no nothing of the Islamic/Arabic world. They show this by making all the arabics saying "Derka Derka Baka Laka Derka, Jihad, Dirka Dirka." What this shows is the American lack of knowledge about the Arabic/Islamic culture. We just see them saying jibberish, and being hot heads, when we fail to realize the true spawn of their fear and anger. We bundle people up into different groups, and for the most part, we give stereotypes to those groups. Team America tends to blow the shit out of EVERYTHING in the movie, with no real cause. Typical of American culture. I remember when 9/11 happened, and people were posting posters in their dorms of the Afghanistan weather reports. 2000 F, with bright explosive skies was the weather outlook, if you will. It pokes fun at the arrogant and ignorant American culture. I think it's comic genius. But, you have to be really intuitive in watching South Park, or the movies Matt and Trey have come up with to realize their TRUE meanings. Anyway, I'm a bi fan.
