I am thinking a key to this study may be found buried toward the end; "...increased societal openess about sexual issues...", RE: people just talk about it more nowadays. When I was in high school in the 60's, and later during the college years and moving then along to a junior professional career, oral sex with my girlfriends quite the norm. I wonder if there is really that much of an increase, or are folks just opining more often(especially when they get a chance to anonymously participate in a question/answer session. Regards...jack

I may be the odd man out here, but the concept seems utterly disgusting to me. Since it's so popular, you may be amazed at my reaction, but I have to say that the thought of someone putting their mouth down there is utterly revolting to me (so are the several pictures of this that I have come upon in my life and no, I don't go around looking for porn). To me, this act sullies a woman's (or a man's) body (It's also against my religion from what I understand).

May I ask two simple questions: why do people like it so much? And secondly, is there anyone here who shares my disgust at such things?

HAJFlyer, my religion considers sinful pre-marital sex, homosexuality and any kind of sex that is "lewd". I have heard it from pastors that oral sex falls in the group of sinful kinds of sex. I just don't know if there is a church-wide position on it.

I always heard a slightly different version when growing up. Third Base was groping to the point at which one or both reached the Supreme Moment. Second Base also involved groping, but not to that level. First Base and Home Run (the latter usually expressed as Going All the Way) were the same as in your version. Oral, oddly enough, did not enter into the description.

On the religious point, ask your pastor when priests were given permission to molest little boys. That seems pretty lewd, and unreligious to me.

No, Fokker Lover, my the ministers of my church do not normally molest young boys. That happens a lot in the Roman Catholic church, and it's probably at least in part because they don't allow priests to marry, and then give them charge of schools and stuff. The celibacy rule was brought on them in the Middle Ages so that the church would not have to pay them a family breadwinner's wage.
