AFAIK, it wasn't for the content of his posts but for the lack thereof. He said he wanted to reach the highest post count as fast as possible, so he started spamming the forum. Even after being told to stop it, he continued. The rest is history.

Rideout Road was such a better name. It's now the insipid and boring Research Park Boulevard.

That's it, Rideout Road . . . . when I was talking on the cell phone to a friend I wanted to visit, he kept mentioning Research Park Blvd at Gate 9, blah, blah, and I had no idea. It then dawned on my friend that they had changed the name. . . . just in time too, as I was rapidly approaching the exit.

Regardless, a great visit in HSV . . . good to see old friends there.

Not been banned, but had two warnings. I called someone a retard in a post and was told that the post had been deleted, and the first one I don't remember.

Trent.
I do enjoy a spot of flying, especially when it's not in economy!

Did you fly in? One thing that has really pissed me off was the loss of our metered parking spaces in front of the terminal. Pull up, drop in a quarter, and walk in. Easy, quick, and super-convenient. But in the name of "security" they were eliminated. How ridiculous...who would attack that Carl T. Jones Field anyway?

Still a nice airport though, with the parking garage, space station at check-in, various military metal on the ramp, and 747s at the jetplex.

No, I had flown in to BHM earlier and this was a day trip from Tuscaloosa area (Berry, AL actually). Mom's b'day and my daughter wanted to see the Space Center, so off we went . . . great trip.

Shame about the metered parking . . . in the interest of Security . . . Psssht.  redflag . Still HSV is one of the best little airports I've ever been through.
