I don't own a car. I can't afford one yet. When in the Netherlands I can borrow my parents' VW Passat or Fiat Punto, when in Sweden I can borrow one of the cars of my parents-in-law, meaning either a VW Golf, a Audi A6 or the one below:

I agree. Although the Kia Rio is a basic car, it surely is far better riding the bus like Rosa Parks did in the 50s because you have no car.

My sister who lives in the Bahamas has a Kia Rio, I think its a pretty decent car actually. It doesn't have the tinny feel that other cars in the class have, the Rio actually feels pretty hefty.

Her husband has a 98 Explorer XLS and I'll choose the Rio over that POS any day. One thing the Rio could use though is a bit firmer suspension, it crashes over the bump in my sister's residential community.

Why? I don't have a car and concerning my field of work, I don't expect to become rich or have stacks of money in the bank, so I can buy expensive cars.  Wink I just couldn't imagine buying a (new) Kia, Hyundai or Korean Chevrolet. I'd rather spend the money on a decent 2nd hand car. Nice to hear though, you didn't have problems with your Kia yet.

While we are here at a car thread.
Why do you Americans always have cars with automatic transmission?
That suxx. It seems it has always been that way, why? Why don't you get a proper manual. Driving a car with automatic gearbox is so boring. did i myself and i only can say. Gimme a proper manual with a clutch where i can decide myself when to switch.

I don't have a car (that I own), but this is what I drive for my company:

It really has everything:
GPS Navigation
Air Condition
Cruise Control
Electric controlled seats
Driver seat has massage and cooling (nice in the summer)

I will add 5 extra lights, alloy rims and a better soundsystem.

And it's really cheap to drive too, I get like 70 miles on every gallon. And it's like driving a battle ship. Even when going at 150mi/h it's almost completely silent inside, no vibrations or anything.

I love "my" car. I love it, I love it , I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it!!!!

Got the black one without the NAV. The Habenero Red looks way too orange in the sunlight, and my current is blue...black is never out of style. Also I can't justify the Nav system for $1,800 considering I can get about anywhere in the Dallas/Fort Worth area without a map. And as far as long trips, well, I have flying benefits on AA.
