Skidmarks shall no longer be attending. Apparently he has been banned from leaving the Isle of Man Old Folks Home.

Indeed, the Isle of Man produces much of its own meat, and excellent stuff it is too. We have cows, pigs and sheep. Also OAP's, Bikers and Lycra Lulu's, which are also fair game! Big grin And, of course, the last three are harder to cook.

Where exactly are we meeting?

If not already decided, I would suggest either the AVP then onto the Pub or Southside OR start in the Pub, go to AVP and then Southside.

Should we see about going on Concorde whilst there? Would anyone else be up for this?

The pub then?! Big grin Not sure what the plan will be as several people will be arriving from various parts of the UK/on day release from their mental institution so meeting in the terminal might be a better idea?  Smile

Concorde sounds like a good idea for everyone - i've been on it in New York so am not that bothered but i'm sure others would be up for that  Smile

I have just been on the airport website and they offer a 'technical tour' for £20.00 and say it lasts around two hours.

I am sure some A.nutters could teach the guide as we go along  Big grin

The Concorde tour is something I've been meaning to do and when better than an A.Net Meet! Big grin I think some did the quicker tour last year, but for those who haven't, £20 is not so bad for a one-off nosey around such a unique and iconic aircraft. I'm sure that, in particular, any overseas A.Net members attending would be in their element!  Smile

Not me chief. Went on one in Yeovilton years ago and found it claustrophobic then. I'm only going for the pictures  angel

I will be there but only briefly as I check in and jet off to the sun for a week .... maybe you'll get a pic of my plane and upload?  wink

Definitely me, but I would think you have to book this in advance and then again numbers are restricted.

So when will the official 'programme' be published, saying where we will meet, what are the plans etc. Perhaps it might be an idea to soon set up an email group independent from a.net where the finer details are posted, so that everyone attending is kept in the picture, leaving the threads on a.net to general details?

Well, we did have Lew's web page until he was assaulted. Perhaps someone else could take that over until Lew is up and running again? And maybe add a page where we can post any relevant ( and I mean relevant!!) information or requests?

Just a thought.

OK,

For those of you who would like to go on the concorde 'technical tour' (£20), please note that there is a limit of 12 people per group.

Please instant message me if you want to go on this tour and if there is enough interest i'll go ahead and arrange it for us.

When replying, please let me know what time you would prefer it for and we can see if we can get it to suit as many people as possible.

P.s, due to the firewalls, messages from hotmail accounts may not get to me, so, if you have one of these, please use [email protected]

Regards,
David

Hi. POSSIBLY count me in too.

Re: Concorde tour, I'd be up for it.

I might be able to pick a few things up, as I might have a job volunteering on G-BOAF at Filton, so if necessary, I'll give you the tour!!!! (Unless we can convince GDB to come along too!!)
