Hi,

just to let you know that im out of hospital now and on the road to recovery, private treatment is much better then NHS.

For those who have doubted, i just want you to know that i was really hurt and upset by that, so thanks a bunch.

Right, note that if you want to use this thread as a debate for the quality of NHS treatment vs Private, then don't.

Take that somewhere else please. This thread is supposed to be a well wisher for Lew.

Lew, good that your back home, see you at MAN, if not before.  Smile

Don't write too much into that. You have a number of people from different backgrounds comparing notes with limited information.

glad to hear that things are starting to improve for you .. just remember not to overdo it , a full recovery is really important , I am sure that you have seen enough of hospitals to last you a very long time , and the best way to keep out of them is to give yourself the chance to heal properly ... take care and then you will be able to really enjoy yourself with all your friends at the MAN meet later in the year .

Right, first and foremost stay away from Birdwatching's and Derico's posts. It can hurt to read them.  Wink

Glad to have you back Lew. Like everyone else I've followed your progress and it's nice when a member is able to 'return to the fold'. Rest up and heal fast.

You're not having much luck mate, hope you feel better soon.

On a general point, I don't think the standard of medical care is that much different between NHS and private hospitals its mainly the creature comforts that are better. In an emergency I'd rather be in an NHS hospital anyday (actually I'd have to be as the're aren't any private A&E departments that I know of) . My dad recently had open heart surgery and I think he much preferred being in a 6 bed ward (after intensive care, and then high dependancy) as he felt reassured that if he felt unsteady or collapsed there'd always be someone there to see him.
