Congradulations, I got mine about a year and a half ago, and started a thread then myself, haha.

Once an Eagle, always an Eagle. Congratulations again.

Harry

BTW Anyone know why the spell check isn't changing the first spelling of Congratulations? I smell a bug...

My brother became an Eagle Scout, I missed it by then early 1970's requirments by one merit badge, water Lifesaving. You are now among the few (only about 1% of all Scouts become Eagles) and it is a proud badge of honor and accomplishment. One learns so much that can help them in their life, give them ideas of what they will do in life by being in scouting and with Eagle, the valuable lessions of leadership.
By the way, what was your community/Eagle project?

I, inconjunction with my JROTC unit and troop cleaned the veterans markers in my church's cemetary. And then got a job out of it  Smile

Congrats, I earned mine 13 years ago. I earned mine about 2 months before my 18th birthday (The service project was the hardest part, took me about 18 months to finally get that part done, for my project, I organized a toy and clothing drive for the local children's shelter.). I had my Board of Review the earliest I could after I did my project (I did my project in December, but all of the slots for the January Boards were full, so I had to wait until February). My certificate is currently hanging on the wall over my computer desk.

Congratulations Justin. Well done!

I don't know if you will be the same way, but just several years after earning the rank myself I know that I learned more useful skills and life lessons "on the path to Eagle" than I did in all of school, K-12.

Display that badge proudly -- there's a lot of work and memories behind it!

Hearty congratulations to you.

One of my great regrets is that I never *quite* finished up Eagle; lacked a couple of badges and project. But there is no such thing as "near-Eagle," you are either there, or you are not.

Well done!

Awesome job!

I actually earned mine about a month ago (had the board of review two days before my 18th birthday!)

Felt so good to finally get all that work behind me (signing paperwork, getting things written down, etc.), although I will certainly miss the awesome things I've done in the Scouting program. Perhaps I'll become an adult leader in the future, teaching the Aviation Merit badge!  Smile

Congratulations! It is an accomplishment for which you should always be proud and include on your resume. I got mine back in '70 at age 14.

Congratulations.

I still remember receiving my Chief Scout Award (the Canadian Equivalent), and I am still very proud of it. It takes a lot of work to get, and no doubt you have many stories to tell as a result of achieving it.

Just recently, I signed up to be a leader, and actually just returned from our winter camp. Up near Toronto, it was -10C during the day, and -15C at night. We had a great time...

Congrats again...

That's awesome Justin,

I got mine December '89. I got my bronze palm and I was 1 merit badge away from my silver palm but I turned 18.

Congratulations!
