Quoting FutureUALpilot (Thread starter): "The game (isn't) fun anymore. I'm tired of all of the crap going on. I want to play this year out, hopefully win, and once the season is over, go home and be with my family. Maybe then everybody can just forget about me." |

Quoting Tom in NO (Reply 5): He'll be joining Mark McGwire on the list of those future Hall of Famer's who won't be going in on the first ballot. |
Quoting N1120A (Reply 7): That is definately not going to happen Tom, particularly if he breaks Aaron's record this year. The only member of the 500/500 club, 708 home runs (plus whatever he gets next year), 7 MVPs, 8 Gold Gloves. He is arguably the finest all around player in the history of the game. Not to mention that until recently he was also one of the most durable players ever. He has to be in on the first ballot purely based on sabermetrics, otherwise Baseball is a joke. |
Quoting Logan22L (Reply 8): I need some of what you are on. If barry bonds goes into the Hall, I'll screw Janet Reno and whoop whilst doing it. I'd like to see bonds stick his bulbous head in a wood chipper. I'll fill it with gas. Complete scumbag cheater. I wouldn't shake his hand for $1,000,000. |

Quoting Halls120 (Reply 10): After all, if it were based only on statistics, Pete Rose ought to be in the HOF. |
Quoting Halls120 (Reply 10): I guess he ought to be durable, given all the steroids he's probably taken. |

Quoting S12PPL (Reply 6): Next time, don't do steriods and try to cover it up. He's the only person I know that actually gets offended by people calling him out for his crap. |
Quoting N1120A (Reply 7): He is arguably the finest all around player in the history of the game. |
Quoting Alias1024 (Reply 11): Bonds without steroids is still the best player of his generation, that's how talented he is. |

Quoting Slider (Reply 15): This whole soap opera has been very well crafted....from his knee injury and subsequent weight loss ("didn't want to put as much stress on the knee"), to the timeline of the steroid testing and hearings, it's no coincidence in my book. No freaking way. This is all a well orchestrated and finely concocted scheme. It's almost so well done it's laughable if it weren't tainting the integrity of the game. And he's a boorish jerk to boot. |
Quoting Tom in NO (Reply 16): I think he had the rattlesnake beans at Voodoo BBQ a few days back.....that's what did it (inside joke, he'll know.....) |
Quoting AirCop (Reply 18): Not so fast, here the latest from the Catcus League, Bonds is talking about playing in 2007, if his legs make through this year. |
Quoting Slider (Reply 15): Hardly. Without the steroids, at least a third of those home runs don't happen in my estimation. |
Quoting Halls120 (Reply 17): Maybe if we could see him play without steroids we'd know. |
Quoting Alias1024 (Reply 22): The guy hit .370 a few years back. Do you think steroids gave him the combination of patience and hand-eye coordination needed for that? |
