You have a city with decent public transportation? No fair! It takes me 20 minutes to drive to work in the morning. Taking the bus and train would take 1 hour 20 minutes.

Jet A is going up to about $5.03 per gallon tomorrow at work. We'll still be 2nd cheapest on the field. Signature is up at over $5.60/gallon.

Gas prices are about $2.90/gallon in Dallas, so we still have a ways to go to catch up with y'all.

Gas is ranging from $2.75 - $3.05 (for the cheap stuff) in St.Louis. Locally $3.05, which sucks for me. I've begun walking everywhere I can, whenever I can, since it's now warm out.

Oil hit yet another record at $72.17/bar today. How high does it have to get before some gov't agency (here or abroad) finally stands up to this crap? I'm pretty sure that if I was to take a 'suspicious' package into the airport tomorrow, I could cause rumors of another terrorist attack in the US, and single handedly raise gas prices again.. All for nothing..

I haven't been out yet today but yesterday the highest I saw was $3.19/gal in Orange County, CA.

I paid 2.65  Silly

I get 10 cents discount so it was at 2.75 last time so brought down to 2.65.

I'm in northeast Ohio... and your time estimate is almost exactly what I dealt with when I was riding the busses for 2-1/2 months. However, it's cheaper, and I was less uptight not having to deal with the (other) crazy drivers. Plus I met a lot of interesting people.

Gas is $1.15 a litre here in Vancouver (and I suspect most of Canada).

The really sad thing was that only eight years ago it was about $0.40 a litre. Ah, the rich get richer and the rest of us get poorer I suppose.

Poor people around the world. I feel sorry for y'all.

I pay USD 0.31 a gallon for premium 95 unleaded fuel here in Venezuela.
That's USD 0.13 a litre.

Just paid $2.53 a gallon at the local Costco.

Of course up here we tend to lag behind lower 48 prices, We don't rise as fast but we take longer to go down.

Fuel prices in Venezuela have been fixed at this price since 1996 when it suffered a 15% rise from its previous price from the 1980s. Chavez came to power in 1999. Fuel prices have absolutely nothing to do with him.

I want fuel prices to be adjusted to reality and sold at production cost. The money that is currently used to subsidize the gas should be used to improve public transportation. Low fuel prices only benefit the rich who can afford to own a car.

Luis

You Americans are selling yourselves short. If you had a proper gallon rather than a US gallon, you would get more for your money  Wink

Er, isn't it somebody (won't name names) in your government, every time he opens his mouth, gas prices go up. While I'm not that cynical to believe that is the intention, it certainly is the effect - and it doesn't hurt his buddies in Texas.

This lastest round of sabre-rattling with Iran will likey move around a billion dollars from our pockets to the oil companies.
