Ok, so if you leave about a centermetre of beer in the bottom of a pint glass, leave it in the sun for 3 days it starts to smell like PVA glue. Why the hell is this?

Are they putting glue in my beer! :S

Man, why would you leave 1cm of beer? It was warm is no excuse, why would let it go warm?

If i remember correctly, i was so pi**ed that i went for a walk around campus and ended up taking about 3 hrs to walk less than a 1/4 of a mile, stopping in every block for a drink with friends!

The beer is getting lightstruck. The hops break down under the UV light of the sun, releasing that "skunk" smell and taste.

This also happens to bottled beer. Green and clear bottles are totally transparent to UV rays. Some beer can get lightstruck in as little as 5 minutes of exposure. Bottled Heineken is always lightstruck.

Brown bottles offer better protection, but not immunity.

Therein lies your problem - Grolsch is  vomit . To be avoided at all costs. Anyway, if you're a student you shouldn't be able to afford premium beers - we used to drink Breaker at Uni. Kwalitee!
