ROFLMAO!!! A joke surely? Have you been in the town centre (near the train station). Absolutely appalling place, a big chav centre with no class (apologies naturally if that's where you live! Big grin)

I'm pretty sure that the actual city of London has a population of around 7,000 whilst, greater London as a total, comes to that 7.4 million as you state.

Someone else can confirm, I also remember a topic here about it, which I'm searching for.

How about Weymouth?? I'm not saying it's crappy at all, but this is a s good of thread as any to ask.... I spent a couple of days there a few years ago and had a great time. There was a bar called The Rolling Stone, or something real close to that. When I walked in, the bartender/owner looked exactly like Mick Jagger. I ordered a beer, and he immediately recognized me as a yank, and gave me the first one on the house. I asked him why, and he said it wasn't going to be as cold as I like it, and proceeded to fill a pail full of beer and ice for my future thirst quenchers.... great night in that bar.

Any A-netters from down that way?

Basingstoke is fine - there are far worse places. In no particular order may I suggest (with apologies to any A.net residents):

Slough
Milton Keynes
Swindon
Middlesborough
Hull
Stoke
Leicester
Luton
Stevenage
Crawley
Harlow

to name a few....

Milton Keynes is crap - loads of facilities, but the city is dull. It has no character, as every single building is made from the same materials and all look the same. It's just a dull place.

Whitburn, West Lothian. I live here and about 92% of the population are;

  • Chavs,
  • Mentally Retarded,
  • Psycopathic or
  • Just plain fruitcaked

Whitburn, West Lothian is one of the crapest towns in the UK. Population; 10,391* although it may be a bit higher now, therefore, Whitburn is definatly a town

I would also have to say Rhyl in North Wales. Terrible place. Don't go!!!
