I like 'em both equally, though for some strange reason this season ( Wink) I find myself leaning towards the NFL...next season Im sure it'll be back in equilibrium...

Actually going to the College games is great. You got the enviroment, rivals, the bands, the crazy trees and leprachauns. I love College, but NFL post season is great too.

For a split second there I though you mean "NFL or NAACP". And in case you were wondering, given the choice, I'd rather watch the NAACP (whatever that entails).  biggrin  duck

NFL is more entertaining for me. But I'm sure if I were in the US going to a college I would probably prefer watching the college games.

I can't stand any professional sports. It's all WAAAAAY to hip-hop and shit. The NBA isn't basketball. The NFL is barely football, with only a handful of players anymore that actually give an effort.

Give me college sports any day. The kids bust their ass' every single game, cuz if they don't, their butt is benched.

I believe the big difference is in the way the game is promoted. NCAA football the spotlight is on the coaches, Joe Pa, Bowden,Carr, Weiss because the players are changing all the time; whereas the NFL promotes the team Giants, Pats, since the coaches change alot, and the players are hidden under so much equipment, and its so much simpler to sell team apparel.

Enjoy them both, with an edge to the college game.

College sports most definitely when it comes to football and basketball though I do watch my Dolphins in the NFL whenever I can.

I enjoy the blowouts in college though the close games due to parity in the NFL can be fun to watch (Jax vs. Redskins on Sunday comes to mind.) Basketball isn't even close in my opinion. The NBA is just a bunch of overpaid drugged out ghetto thugs who think they are the greatest things in the world.

Going to a college game is like nothing in the world. The bands, the cheerleaders, the mascots fighting in the endzones, the fans fighting in the stands (of course you get that at a Jets or Eagles game), the drunken kids, the drunken alumni, and all the other craziness that goes with the experience is not to be missed.

I screwed up a paper one time back in high school and kept refering to the NAACP as the NCAA for whatever reason. I caught it at the last minute and had to scratch out NCAA all through the paper.

I agree with this. In college, the players are playing for the chance to earn all the big NFL jack. They play hard because if they don't, they will get benched. If they fuck up, they will get benched. I'll take college ball anyday.

College football is 10 times better than the NFL. There is so much more emotion involved. But that's just me.

Well, from my s/n, I'm sure you can probably guess what I think. Having had season tickets to UT football games for more than a decade, and witnessing the best college football game ever last year (no, I'm not biased at all  Silly) at the Rose Bowl, I can say, having been to even a playoff NFL game between Dallas and Arizona (although that does tell you how long ago it was), that college football goes unrivaled in sports as far as intensity and excitement.

It depends who's doing better the Hokies or the Skins.....
Right now it's in equilibirium both teams neither sucking or really good...(But of course who knows)

Quoting KingAir200 (Reply 15):

It's really not just you....The guys at college are working really hard to get to the NFL (many of these guys don't give a crap about college and that's the only thing they played college ball for and sadly most of them don't make it out of there with a degree) and sitting on the bench doesn't help their cause....
While some of the guys at the NFL are not doing their 100% because of their big fat contracts and tons of guaranteed money That's my guess
Uhhh What?

It depends on who is playing...If lets say ND is playing USC-I'll be all about the NCAA more than the pros but like this weekend Dallas is playing Philly, I'm more excited about the pros than the youngsters.

My two teams are ND and The Cowboys.
Go big or go home

I like NCAA alot more, the atmosphere in a college football game is unmatched by any NFL event, especially SEC and Big 10 Stadiums. Id rather watch a game in the Swamp then Raymond James anyday, even though the RayJay is lively place, it still doesn't compare.

I'll say the NFL, but only because the NCAA as a governing body (and I've seen enough stuff that goes on, spoken to enough people, and set in motion enough controversies caused by their incompetence to have inside information on this) makes me sick...additionally, the NCAA game is far longer than the NFL game, and that is a turn-off...

On the other hand, I'll watch college basketball over pro basketball (and just about anything else)...problem is, I know enough coaches to have trouble figuring out which game I actually want to watch.

NCAA games used to run a little longer than most NFL games, but with the new clock rules this year (which I hate), I'd say they're about the same time-wise...

Man, I can't believe what UA (Arkansas) is doing to #2 AU (Auburn).

Another #2 dethroned at home, it seems. Down 17 with 4 minutes to play...
