RE: Ever Been Arrested?

Thu Oct 12, 2006 3:06 am

Yes.Once.In the seventies, surrender in a court of law by pleading
guilty.While I was driving a '67 Ford Mustang 289 4 speed,down
the SoCal 605 fwy, came along side a RS Camaro, and we raced.
I beat him and got 5 days,LA county.In today's world,that's a
slap on the hand.

Came close, another time, when a customer falsely accused me of
grabbing her in my store. She showed police bruises up her arm.
Then I showed the police, the store's video tape.It was shown
very clearly that I never touched her and I turn the tables on
her.Bitch.

God, I wish that was the case. I took her to a concert, and the police didn't like the fact that two 19 yr olds had open containers of alcohol in public.

We got separated and thrown into cells with 20-25 people, all from the same concert, all with similar stories.

We got out five hours later, she was crying and not very happy with me.

There was no recovery, especially after she had to explain it to her father.

Battery, disorderly conduct July, 1996 $400 fine, one year probation, 3 days in jail. $1100 in legal fees.

Underage drinking August, 1996 $171 fine

Underage drinking, obstructing an officer October, 1996 $370 fine, lose license one year, letter of apology to cop

Drunk driving November, 1996 $684 fine + $200 assesment, six month license loss, one night jail - horrible insurance premiums for three years (that was probably the worst part.)

Actively engaging in illegal sodomy- priceless.

Short end of it is: I didn't do it (that's what they all say, I know). I loaned my car to some pin-head in A-Troop 2/5 Cav that DID do it. Our physical descriptions were similar, 73", 180 pounds, Light Brown Hair, Blue Eyes. Ahhh, and my license plate from Alaska was a big help too.

And you do realize that if you were in Maricopa County they would have wrung you through Joe's system. The same jails where innocent men have been killed by guards. The tough on crime and inmates sheriff getting tough on you, an innocent man. Smile

OK folks, anyone on here ever been arrested

Yes, by Navy Shore Patrol. I punched some Lt in the French Navy in a bar in Rhodes Greece when a bar fight broke out. I was taken into custody and brought to the fleet landing for a ship that I wasn't attached to, but they assumed I was with them because they were in port at the time my aircraft was RON-ing in Rhodes. It wasn't until the next morning when they handed me over to my TAC and he sorted it out. But I did have to spend the night in the drunk tank.

Ooh ahh, re-arrest that man!

Can't, that would be double jeopardy here in the US. Wink

Are you sure you weren't part of the prison sex?

Yeah, after our little debauchle, I tried in vain for another date. We remained friendly, but she ended up dating a guy I introduced her to.

I think that was her little f*ck you for giving her a police record.

It's okay, she ended up getting fat anyway.

Almost...got caught red-handed by undercover cops buying something that isn't exactly legal for people under 21. They pulled me, seized the 'contraband', gave me a citation and threatened to take me to jail if I didn't call my parents to pick me up. Problem was my parents were at a formal dinner and both had their phones off. About an hour and a half later after sitting in a parking lot looking like a common thug (two unmarked cop cars, lights flashing, surrounded by 3 big-ass dudes with badges and guns) they finally let me go with a citation.

Big pain in the ass that was!

Wasn't "in" long enough to get wrung through Joe's system . . . couple hours in and out. Even took the cuffs off after a few minutes, they were convinced I was not their man . . . but I knew who it was.

Nope. Been moved along for making too much noise, and threatened with being arrested though. The residents expect us to be quiet, and there's a band playing in the pub and 500 pissed 14 to 18 year olds outside (i wasn't one of them  Big grin  angel  ) Pretty unreasonable. Nearly got bottled by 25 chavs aswell.

Only time I've ever been in the back of a police car was when I was about 15 years old, I witnessed a car accident and saw three occupants of the car get out and start running away! Turns out the car was stolen. So I sat in the back of the police car (it was winter) to write a statement and a description of the three guys.

I have a squeaky clean slate, not even a speeding ticket Big grin

Almost in Tijuana for missing a stop sign that did not exist. I only had 20 dollars so they the policia drove me to an ATM, made me take out more money. I was somewhat ignorant to the fact that they were not going to drive me back, so I had to take out some more cash for a taxi. That time the card did not work so I ended walking for about four hours back to my vehicle.

Now THAT must be a version of double jeopardy. Nice story!
