6. "Roundabout" Yes

7. "Layla" Eric Clapton (the original, not that unplugged thing)
8. "Money" Pink Floyd
9. "Stairway to Heaven" Led Zeppelin

So "Stairway to Heaven" occupies both spots #1 and #9? Well, I guess it deserves it.....

Anyway:

10. "More Than A Feeling" - Boston
11. "Back in Black" - ACDC
12. "Hey Jude" - Beatles
13. "Honky Tonk Woman" - Rolling Stones
14. "Money For Nothing" - Dire Straits
15. "White Room" - Cream
16. "Jump" - Van Halen
17. "Dream On" - Aerosmith
18. "Paranoid" - Black Sabbath
19. "Won't Get Fooled Again" - Who

There're plenty more where those came from (I kept it to one song/band).
I'm watching Jeopardy. The category is worst Madonna songs. "This one from 1987 is terrible".

The 101 Strings sounds a lot like the Boston Pops Orchestra.

Out of the gene pool now!

Not even remotely in the same ballpark as classic rock. Perhaps cheesy 80's pop radio but you can't in good faith call the Pointer Sisters or anything they did "rock."

Now if only someone will put all these on a few cd's and share them with us. We could all dig out our bongs, find our hidden stash of 'ludes, and have a bitchin time.

Screw the CDs. You haven't experienced anything unless you heard these songs on quadraphonic reel or 8track tape.  yes

Didnt see it on the list.

8track tape.

But I did. Had a "Realistic" 8-track player in my 1972 Maverick.Had a built in EQ and all. Hell I even had a copy of VH's 1984 on 8-track, got it from Colombia House. You know the one where you pay a penny for 9 but have to buy 10 in 2 years.

105--"Oh Denise, shoobee doo.I'm in love with you...??
110--Terry Stafford..the Elvis sound-alike..whatever happened to him?
How about
"The River" Springsteen..(is a dream a dream that don't come true, or is it something worse?"
"Light My Fire"--The Doors--(played in a slightly classical style, my wedding recessional)  Smile

The entire list sounds like a Time-Life infomercial...and yeah, I'd probably be reaching for my credit card..

Sweet!  bigthumbsup

Can you still find that CRC issue of 1984 on 8track?
You can get $50 easily on ebay for that tape today.  yes
Those record club tapes from the 1980s are worth big bucks today. I saw Madonna's 'True Blue' (1986) 8track tape go for $215 last summer.

Sadly, some were destroyed when I rolled the said Maverick, and the rest went the way of the dodo when I joined the Navy.  Sad

I do have a bunch of vinyl stored under my bed. Albums you pervs.
I should dig them out and see whats there.

I remember a SNL skit taking to Peter Framton about how he could bring his sales up. The agent said " look at Jim Morrision of the Doors. He died and his sales went thru the roof, can you die?"

Zippyjet, some great additions. Crystal Ship was an awesome song. I
was always a big Alvin Lee fan...I'd Love To Change The World rocks.
White Bird brings back some fond memories, David LaFlamme was great
on the violin.

A couple others I'd like to add:
Shine On Brightly - Procol Harum
Mr. Tambourine Man - both versions Dylan/Birds
Let It Be - Beatles
Happy Jack - Who
Dead Flowers - Stones
