50 States In 10 Minutes

Fri Mar 16, 2007 9:04 pm

This website gives you 10 minutes to type in all 50 States of the US.

Spelling must be correct!!!

NO CHEATING!!!!

Personally, my official score was 48. I knew the other two states but could not get their spellings figured out before time ran out.

Well, I got 45.

The countdown clock stressed me out, and I couldn't spell Massachesetts if my life depended on it!

I should have remembered Delaware. Its my wife's favourite sales-tax free state.

Same problem here.

The other state I couldn't spell is one of the little NorthEast states which starts with a C.

I forgot Kentucky, Minnesota and Nebraska... flyover country, in other words!  duck  My spellings were right though. Did you folks also get about 35 to 40 right in the first five minutes and then could hardly figure out which were still missing?

I got all 50 with 7:23 remaining. Helped that way back in 2nd grade, we had to memorize all 50 states and we had a song that listed them all in alphabetical order. I just ran down the list and put them in.

Well, you must have been spelling it incorrectly or something. As you can see from other posts here and also my wife who completed all 50, it is possible.

I couln't spell 2 states. Conneticut and Mississippee

Speaking of spelling Mississippi, here's an old joke:

NO SPEAKAH DE ENGLISH

A bus stops and two Italian men get on. They sit down and engage in
an animated conversation.

The lady sitting next to them ignores them at first, but her
attention is galvanized when she hears one of them say the following:

"Emma come first.
Den I come.
Den two asses come together.
I come once-a-more.
Two asses, they come together again.
I come again and pee twice.
Then I come one lasta time."

"You foul-mouthed sex obsessed swine," retorted the lady indignantly.

"In this country . . . we don't speak aloud in public places about our sex lives"

"Hey, coola down lady," said the man. "Who talkin' abouta sex?"

"I'm a justa tellin' my frienda how to spell Mississippi'."

well,
----------------------------------------
You have 10 Minutes to remember as many of the 50 United States as you can.
After 10 Minutes, the correct answers
will appear in this space so you can see which ones you've missed.
0 states remain

---
yoohoo ! I managed all of them in 9 minutes. Almost forgot Missouri until I realized that Mississippi could not stand alone !
