My parents and me share these cars:

- Audi A8 4.2 FSI Quattro 350HP Tiptronic
- Audi A6 2.7 TDI 180HP Multitronic
- Peugeot 206CC 1.6 16V 110HP

No prices for guessing which of them is my favourite.  Wink

At the moment I have the Audi A6 because it is a Diesel and I am driving a lot currently. It's a very nice car IMO, I really like the Multitronic transmission.

My neighbors look rather stupid every time they see me coming with a different car, one of them already asked: "Do you work at a car dealership?".  Silly

By the way, how's the multitronic? Did you compare it with the tiptronic and the DSG? I've been looking into the Audi A5 but there isn't one with a multitronic I could test-drive... how is power-loss when shifting gears?

I drove all three, the tiptronic, the DSG, and the multitronic and I think that all three are masterpieces. The multitronic is always using the rpm-range with the highest torque so there is very few power-loss when it is shifting the gears, it is the perfect gearbox for a Diesel car IMO. Ok, the A6's acceleration is far away from the A8's acceleration but that has nothing to do with the gearboxes but with the fact that the A8 has 170HP more, I always get a smile on my face when I kick-down the A8's pedal on the acceleration lane of the Autobahn.

The A5 is an awesome car, I took a closer look on Friday afternoon when it stood next to me in a traffic jam... this car is so utterly stylo!

Yep, they're still making them. If you really want a blast from the past, check out the VW site for South Africa! Anyway, there is quite a waiting list for them, you're looking at 6 months if you want to "build your own" and not drive a model they have on the lot.

A 2004 VW Touareg V8, this SUV still amazes me how it drives. I can drive it like a car on the highway but when it needs to be a truck it can, mud, high water, inclines, tow 7,000lbs or drive at 130mph and you dont even notice it, it does everything. But I am going to have to get rid of it at the end of this summer since I will be going away to DC for college.

Now after college I plan on getting a new car, I am thinking about a used V10TDI Touareg a used RS4, or a used SRT8 Jeep.  Wink Maybe the TDI will be the best choice, we will see how gas prices are in four years?!

I am still incredibly happy with my Lexus RX400h, which was my first hybrid car:

Big version: Width: 1400 Height: 672 File size: 504kb

Big version: Width: 2281 Height: 1521 File size: 589kb

Then, at the complete opposite end of the spectrum - my 2004 Nissan Armada SE 4x4 Off-Road which rarely gets driven much anymore (and probably is just as economical as the Boeing 727 parked behind it):

Big version: Width: 800 Height: 533 File size: 83kb

Also just picked up a new 2007 Toyota Prius for one of my outstations, and I'm actually considering trading the Armada in on another Prius!

Big version: Width: 1280 Height: 852 File size: 827kb

The facts on fuel economy (from my personal experience):

2006 Lexus RX400h - 36 city / 24 hwy
2004 Nissan Armada SE - 8 city / 11 hwy
2007 Toyota Prius - 60 city / 51 hwy

All great vehicles, and all fun to drive!

You lucky bastards.

I love the GTI. I can't buy one, yet, but my roommate just bought one a couple of months ago. Has package 2 (pretty much all the gadgets) and the huf rims. Black magic to top it off. I drive it occasionally. And holy crap it exceeded my expectations in every way. Very fast, amazing handling. Grips like a mofo. We were doing 140mph not to long ago. I love how it feels no different than at 60mph, maybe a bit more wind noise... if at all.

Then again I'm kinda biased towards Vdubs. Big grin

My current daily driver is a 2002 (hint hint) Tornado red Type 1:

Yes, even with 44hp, I am good friends with my fast Big grin

I recently went to a PHX-FLG Vdub get together thing. It was a lot of fun, specially making a traffic jam on I-17 Big grin There was about 60-70 cars. I was the only air cooled  cry  but still got a warm welcome. This pic shows only 1/4 of all the cars:
