I have decided to start the International US Presidential Elections 2007 to give those both from the US and the Wider World the chance to vote for their next President. The names of candidates on this digital ballot paper are simply those who are thought to be the most likely Presidential candidates in the 2008 Presidential Elections.

VOTING INSTRUCTIONS

1. You must vote for only one candidate, state who you are voting for and add ONE to the ongoing figure of voters.

2. The elections will close on Friday 8th June at 1900 hrs BST

3. All A.Net members are eligible to vote

4. Candidates listed are only those thought most likely to win their party's nomination by recent polls

5. Please do not tamper with the result or running total, if the running total is found to be wrong the election must begin again.

I demand a "none of the above" option as some of us do vote for third party candidates. I'd write myself in before I'd ever vote for either one of the two choices.

Okay, first of all: rotfl

at naming "election officials." Let's not have a repeat of the BA fiasco.

Second, why??? Candidates within each party vary widely in their character and top issues. If you want us to choose by party then list the parties by name; don't force one candidate on everyone because you think they'll get the nomination.

Agreed. I believe the sampling will be faulty otherwise. That's why I asked the question I did earlier. (But apparently we're not to discuss it until the votes are in.)

I spent a few weeks there in 1976 riding my BSA Lightning around and getting sloshed on a regular basis. It was a fine adventure.

The folks were fine, the eating was superb, the beer was astounding and it was a great time to be 28 year old American scooter trash.
